Overall I?m pretty impressed with the quality and optical clarity of Haida brand neutral density filters, both solid and gradient. I haven?t noticed any color shift issues with any of the Haida brand filters. The NanoPro coating really seems to minimize finger prints and makes using filters a much more enjoyable experience.

Yes,, the Reverse grad is good and needed in some cases. I see no color cast during processing. One thing is they are fragile. The coating in not in the glass, it is on the outside so be careful there. I have broken one of these. yep I dropped one and it hit the only rock near me of course. And by the way the VIP 360 is useless on getting it replaced. Their reason is it is not mechanical so it's not covered in the "Drop and Spills" I believe I dropped it. As in the title of the warranty you buy. But they said NO! This is what the Company 'New Leaf' said. VIP 360 is just good for the free shipping nothing else.

I have round and plate type filters from Haida. The color is very neutral with a very slight magenta cast. It is easily removed with -2 or -3 on the Tint slider in Lightroom. I tested all of my Haida filters against a reference image with no filter. All images were shot using Einstien flash heads set to color consistancy mode against a white seamless background. To tell the difference in real world photos is nearly impossible. The reason for the 4 rating is because the Soft graduation is too gradual and only achieves the 3 stop reduction at the very end of the filter. Unfortunately Haida doesn't make a medium edge filter in the Nano Pro line. The Red Diamond line has the medium edge but cost a lot more.

The filter makes the sky look darker and nicer and no border line between the dark and the bright areas.
