About Heritage Audio MCM-32 Summing Mixer

After meticulous design and engineering, the MCM-32 Summing Mixer from Heritage Audio stands as a high-quality, professional-grade audio device. This advanced mixer boasts a unique configuration of 32 input channels, grouped into four subgroups of eight channels each. Each channel is equipped with center detent Pan and Fader concentric controls, balanced insert, and mute switches, offering a sophisticated level of control to the user.

The MCM-32's insert send points are always active, providing the flexibility to be used as direct outputs for recording, eliminating the need for additional patch bays. Each subgroup features its own stereo fader and balanced insert point, all of which are passively summed into the master bus. The gain is restored through a 1073 style class A, transformer-coupled, mic preamplifier, which houses a total of four transformers, one input and one output in each channel.

The master section of this durable summing mixer is also equipped with its own balanced insert point. All connections on the back are facilitated by DSUB 25 connectors, adhering to the Tascam protocol, with the exception of the master bus connections, which utilize dedicated XLRs.

The MCM-32 Summing Mixer is not just about functionality, but also about delivering vintage sound quality with low noise. The intelligent summing topology employed in the MCM series allows for impressive headroom and a surprisingly low noise figure for a 32-channel, vintage topology mixer. Special attention has been given to improving crosstalk and self-noise figures from those on vintage designs, making the MCM-32 a perfect fit for the digital era. The transformer-based class A output stage is capable of delivering a full +26dBu output, ensuring that your audio signals are mixed with precision and clarity.
