Sticks appear to be slightly larger/ heavier than oak sticks from other brands. Also, less tapered. Maybe ok for practice or backup.

Perfect, exactly what I had hoped for in a pair of drumsticks.

These break in about half the time of my regular vic firth sticks. But I got them for a fifth of the price! However, I'm not a very hard player. I have no idea how these things will fare against metal for example. If you can get them for a couple bucks, I'd say try em out

The H&A Oak 5A Wood Tip Drumstick takes our 5A drumstick design and pairs it with the solidity of oak wood. This combination results in sticks that last longer than a traditional hickory drumstick. Also because of oak's increased density, you will get a brighter cymbal sound, which is great for players looking for something in between a wood-tipped and nylon-tipped drumstick sound. These drumsticks are perfect for rock, gospel, or any genre that requires heavy hitting. The acorn tip and medium taper deliver a balanced feel with every stroke.
