Great bag for tripods

This bag works perfect for my gitzo 3 series tripod with the RRS BH40 ball head still attached (just barely). It is well padded and seems like it will hold up well.

Great value.

This is a great bag. I'd never heard of Hakuba, but it seemed to get good reviews online, and now I can see why. You can't beat it for the price. Best bag for a strobist kit. I carry 2 Manfrotto 1051 stands and 2 Paul C Buff PLMs. The bag is padded. The shoulder strap is very nice to use. I've gone through a couple other bags like this (Manfrotto and Tenba, both of which I plan to sell), but this one is much better. Great value!!

Well done.

Very well made bag for the price. Not a lot of extra room but fits my Gitzo 3 series tripod with Arca ball head. Extra storage on the outside does come in handy too. Haven't tested the bag in the field yet.

Very well pleased with my purchase

I was very well pleased with this purchase. I measured my tripod and compared it to the case's measurements. My tripod fits perfectly. Not to big fits just right.

Great Bass Clarinet Stand case

Sax, bassoon and bass clarinet stands are as klutsy as tripods to carry around and, like photographers, musicians have to carry a lot of gear. I have searched for a sturdy instrument stand case. The adverized Hakuba 100 measurements looked just right for my Hercules bass clarinet stand and on delivery the case was a very good fit. One can also include a folded music stand and the side pocket easily accomodates added clarinet and flute pegs or other accessories. It looks very well made from sturdy materials. Since the bag comes in four sizes, I have recommended it to other musicians.

Second to none!

I have tried different tripod/lightstand cases. As everyone says, this is the best. Japanese craftsmanship quality. Look no further.

Good quality, but somewhat small

This tripod bag is put together pretty well, but it is somewhat oddly sized. The length only allows me to get my tripod legs in the bag; with a head attached it will not fit. However, there is a ton of room around the tripod, from side to side.

A Great Case for the Money

I videotape municipal board meetings and needed a tripod case that was not bulky, was durable, and could be placed unobtrusively while I taped. This fit the bill and I'm glad I ordered it. The outside pocket area with zipper is great for those extras that won't fit in the camera bag (like extension cords). In fact, if I didn't need the camera bag for other things, my camera would fit in the case quite nicely.

Great Bag for the Price

Great bag for the price. It is very well made with good materials, good zippers, etc. and it does what it needs to do... give you a way to carry your tripod and protect it from being banged around. I never understood how a tripod bag could cost [$]. My only complaint is that it is a bit big for my Gitzo 2541. The added bulk is not a big deal but it is clearly not a custom bag. The strap is OK but not as nice as the rest of the bag.

Very Good

I recently purchased the Slik carrying case (SKU:SLCSL), and I was very disappointed. I was very pleasantly surprised with this one, though. It fits my Slik U212 DX tripod, and has a nice pocket on the outside to hold a focusing rail. It also has a thin inside pocket that I haven't yet found a use for. The padding is adequate, and the strap is removable. The strap could use more padding itself, though; it just has a cheap plasticly "pad". I covered the pad with a soft flexible neoprene mouse pad, and secured it with pieces of tennis grip. At any rate, I am much happier with this bag.

Nice bag!

Padded well. Metal D rings and shoulder strap clips! Metal rivets for support in areas! Padded side compartment is a plus. I use this bag to hold my Celestron 102 Wide View spotting case. The side compartment holds my eyepieces and other stuff.

Great bag

This is a great bag for the bucks. Metal clips for the shoulder strap, metal D rings, metal rivits for support, padded well. I use it for my Celestron 102 Wide View spotting scope which is 21". Has enough room to attach my camera if I want. Padded side compartment holds my eyepieces, too!

Solid product; great price

I've come to expect well-built products from Hakuba, and this bag is no exception. It fits my tripod/head combo perfectly (but then, I looked at the published dimensions). Initial use tells me that the padding is good, outside pouch adds room for extras, the zipper is solid & all materials are good quality. The only concern I have is that there's actually more bag than my gear needs (given the bag's nearly triangular cross-section)--a very subjective concern & hardly a deal breaker. The case isn't bombproof, but is very sturdy & should be excellent for daily use and most civilized travel. The price-to-value rating is excellent--I'd have expected to pay more for the quality/build. That fifth star is awaiting only a little real-world time-testing.

very happy with it

Using this to transport my Manfrotto tripods, with attached head. Plenty of room to transport other stuff with it (I typically have a lightsphere, additional batteries, a few filters, etc. in this bag). The shoulder strap is not bad, but clearly the bag's weakest feature. Feels "cheaper" than the rest of the bag.

Great Product

I was skeptical on purchasing this tripod bag for my 15 year old SILK U212 tripod. With the higher price tag than some of the other competitors I was worried I would be spending more money than I needed to. I was wrong. The case is just the right fit for the tripod (head attached) and keeps it protected while in the floor board or back seat of my truck. I'm a rail fan and have been known to do a bit of trekking to get an angle I haven't shot before and used to place the tripod on my shoulder while on the move. This case keeps everything safe and gives me back my other arm to keep balance on uneven terrain. The only things that keep me from 5 stars is the lesser quality fatigue point on the strap and the lack of more soft cushioning inside the case(s)but that's just a personal preference. For anyone wanting a case that makes it easy to tote your tripod, this is the one.

Nice case

I bought this for my son and he was very happy with it. He wanted pockets in order to carry some of his camera equipment along with the tripod and he was quite satisfied with this case.

Better than expected

This is a perfect travel bag for tripods. Unzips across the length for easy tripod access. Has a convenient outside pocket. Great strap so that you can carry over your shoulder. The padding protects. Probably wouldn't trust it to airline cargo guys, but it is enough for every day travel and use. Good quality - better than I expected!
