Great mic for the price!
The H&A Surfur mic performs better than expected for its price. I am using it in a challenging audio environment with lots of ambient noise but when paired with my recorder the results are on par with more expensive mics I have used. The results are much more than acceptable for my use in blogging/vlogging. My only regret is buying it in this configuration with the broadcast arm. It will not hold position any way I adjust it and there is no internal integrated XLR cable. Perhaps I was sent the wrong one or a bad copy but its just not worth it for the price. Just buy the mic and get a proper broadcast arm.

Great mic for the price!
It works as advertised and is true to the ratings others have given it. My purpose is for podcasting and vlogging where room acoustics, and the budget to try and counter the shortcomings don't warrant, nor would they be significantly improved by a top line mic. It's all about results and they are much better than expected or required. The only thing keeping it from a 5-star rating was that I purchased it as a kit with the articulating mic arm/boom. It's pretty much worthless and will not hold it's position...It's just not worth it trying to return it so I would buy the mic alone and find a more capable support solution. The desk stand will work but it really needs to be taller to allow the XLR cable to clear better when the mic is at a more vertical orientation.

Its a nice microphone.
I have been very pleased so far. I have to figure out where sit it in my home studio. But i am pretty sure i wont have any promblems. Im 64 yrs old and i just started my own studio. Thanks for asking.

Great quality for amatuer use
Arrived in excellent condition. Product was as described. Wonderful pickup range. Exceptional quality. My only drawback was the lack of an on/off switch on the mic itself.
