The AutoSwitch Audio Switcher & Silence Sensor is expertly engineered to eliminate the common issue of "digital echo" in DJ headphones caused by digital audio processing. It also ensures uninterrupted audio by automatically switching to an alternate audio source if the main feed fails, effectively preventing "dead air."

This reliable audio switcher can also function as a monitor-source switcher. When connected to the console's mic-tally logic, it can sense when the control room mic is on, and switch from "off-air" audio to a local audio source. This feature eliminates the "headphone echo" that is often caused by digital audio processing.

Moreover, the AutoSwitch Audio Switcher & Silence Sensor is equipped with two silence sensors (L & R) that have adjustable settings for the silence threshold and delay time. If the main source level drops below the threshold for the set time, the silence sensor activates and the unit switches to the backup source. Once the main source returns, the unit resets and switches back to the main source.

The AutoSwitch Audio Switcher & Silence Sensor also features an Alarm relay output to activate an external alarm or other equipment. It has LEDs that indicate which audio source is active, when either channel's audio is below the silence threshold, and when the silence sensor has been activated. The silence sensors can be disabled for manual control, as can the Alarm relay, while still maintaining automatic audio control.

This innovative audio switcher uses electronic audio switching for a smooth transition between sources and includes gain trims for precise adjustment of audio levels. It uses plug-in euroblock connectors for audio and control interface. The unit is 1/3 rack width and can be rack-mounted with the optional rack mount shelf, or cabinet or wall mounted using optional cabinet/wall mounting brackets. The AutoSwitch Audio Switcher & Silence Sensor is powered with a built-in AC power supply, ensuring reliable performance.
