This body is topped with a thick, custom-carved flame maple top, adding to its sleek and polished appearance.

The Ultra Max features a set neck construction, utilizing a mortise and tenon neck joint with a 25.50" scale length. This design incorporates our patented H-Expander truss-rod and Resinator fingerboard, ensuring a stable and comfortable playing experience. The ultra-comfortable fast neck is paired with our Custom 60 Alnico-5 pickups, complete with eloquent Aluminum Brushed covers, delivering the cutting voice that this instrument demands.

Each of the Ultra Max's specially wound Custom 60 humbucking pickups uses Nylon coated wire combined with an Alnico 5 magnet. This combination results in a mighty punch and hot sizzle, offering a fresh tonal palette with additional flexibility. The Ultra Max handles drop tunings with ease, thanks to its longer 25.50" scale length, making it ideal for players seeking a slimmed body with a searing tone.

The Ultra Max is available in four stunning satin finishes: Satin Black, Fall Sky, Milky Mandarin, and Satin Cosmic Black Burst. Each guitar features our unique Sustain Block Tailpiece, a design that has been a signature feature on many of our solid body models since 1978. Each string terminates in a single, massive brass block coupled directly to the guitar's body, reducing interference between the strings and maximizing each string's unique contribution.
