Extension cable could be a couple of feet longer, otherwise, very reliable.

Used for extended time shots. Also works as a Remote. Matches Canon's version exactly- even the directions are the same.

The button on the remote shutter release goes into rapid repeat mode about 60 percent of the time when you don't want it to. It gets stuck there and takes about 10 shots before I can stop it. It has even taken pictures on it's own when my finger is no where near the button. I would not buy the product again, nor would I recommend it to a friend.

Have it for a week and i took it on a landscape photography with one of my friends. this thing is reliable, it has not misfired yet, the build looks also durable and i love the swappable sockets since i dont have to buy another one if i upgrade from 40d to 50d. Only thing is i dont know how long the wires will last since its being bent all the time.

I haven't been using this remote release for long,so I can't speak to durability, but it has been useful in situations where I'm using a long telephoto, using a long exposure where any camera motion will be detrimental, or shooting animals and birds where I must remain hidden to get the shot. It's a little too easy to engage the lock accidentally when holding the switch down, but other than that I have little complaint with the product. the three-part design of the cord is useful both shots where you are simply trying to avoid touching the camera while standing alongside it, or with the extension, gaining some distance from the camera. The junction between the parts is pretty secure, so far.

This remote is perfect for my needs. I use it for all my night shots and for portrait work too. It is reliable and the extension cord is nice to have for specific jobs.
