The speaker sounds great. I use it with my computer and iPad, playing music and watching videos. The bass is deep and powerful. Good volume of sound for the size. I also like that I can take it with me.

This wireless speaker is a little dynamo. fills up most living rooms with crisp, clear sound. Easy to pair via Bluetooth, battery holds up very well. portable , but you wont be able to carry it in a backpack

I was looking to replace a my old portable speakers, I got on of these and it works great. I use it in my bedroom and when I go outside. Easy setup with bluetooth and network.

I heard this speaker when I visited my Dad. And I loved it so much I had to order one for myself. Sound is loud and clear . Good balance between highs and mids and the Bass is deep.

I got this speaker as a replacement for my Onyx Studio 2 which I returned because of it's flimsy legstands that tend to break overtime for which I'm sure several buyers have experienced. I'm glad that they came up with a redesigned sturdy legstands which is the one I'm reviewing now. Sound quality for all Onyx models are basically identical and all of them have Robust sound considering how small the drivers are. At fist glance you would think that it that the whole unit is the driver itself especially when you hear the bass output it makes. But you will surprise to find out when you remove the front speaker cover that it's only a speaker case housing 4 small drivers and two passive radiators. Not to mention the amplifier and function controls in it. It's amazing what great electronics and passive radiators can do to deliver full full bodied sound with outstanding clarity and power for such small speaker drivers. the only thing is you have to pay big time to own it. Buying it on black Friday is the way bto go.

I bought this some year ago and it is mostly useless. I was going to use it as a kitchen radio but people talking sounds really bad in this speaker. You have to turn it up alot just to hear what they are saying. Music gets to much bass no matter where you place the speaker. The bass/treble knob that has been with us since the dawn of radios and music machines are not present here for some reason and the app that lets you configure the speaker is of no use to anybody. When i connect the speaker by cable it goes to sleep as soon as it looses signal and take a while to wake up. That is annoying! The support is telling me to crank the volume on the input, a bad idea if you do not want bad sound and useless if you have a good source without noise in the background. The wi-fi connectivity is good if you are willing to sacrifice the availability of internet. The bt is ok if you can stand going into the settings of your music device everytime you want to connect to the speaker. For me: I bought an old radio from the 70s and it is easy to plug into the ipad with a cable, it has a treble/bass knob, it never goes to sleep and the mid-range is better, it does not add a sense of "loudness" to my music and it was dirt cheap.

I have had my speaker for a year now, and love, love, love the sound. For such a small speaker the sound it outstanding! My friends, don't realize what I am talking about until I turn it on and turn it up. Great for a round the bonfire.

I got this for a Black Friday deal as it was about 300 dollars off its regular price, it was a steal so I took it. So far I am absolutely amazed by what it has done for me so far, definitely the best portable speaker I've ever had, one problem I did notice although, which is the reason I'm writing this review, is the passive radiator on the back of the device, at any volume, it makes a noise with heavy bass, it sounds as if someone is tapping on the metal, I can hear the noise at any given volume, I have also noticed that with some songs, at about half volume the back radiator almost cannot take the bass and I thought I was going to blow it so I quickly turned the volume down, you could see the metal not coming in and out perfectly straight but bouncing side to side and then in and out, the noise also sounded very airy and I feared for the speaker, the song was emotional-flux pavilion. I do not know if this is just my speaker but this definitely is a letdown.

I purchased this in December and I have barely used it and now after 7 months it is not working anymore!! I think sound quality is good, but i swear i use it like half an hour a day to listen to some Jazz music and thats all, i never took the unit outside my home even! the durability of this speaker is very low I think i have made a mistake buying this one, could have gone for much cheaper options!

I've had several bluetooth speakers in the past, this one is by far the best!!! Everything about it outperforms the rest. The sound is unbeatable. Most bluetooth speakers are easy to use, but this one never fails or disconnects like all others occasionally do. Sound is crisp and clear, but it can also bump!! I use this around the house more than my home audio system.

I've had the Onyx Studio for a few weeks now, and I am very impressed and still surprised by its sound quality and clarity. For such a small package it has exceptional sound, bass, highs and never muffled. Love thats it portable and battery last for hours at high volumes. We take it to the beach and love it, South Florida is a perfect place for this. As far as price I got mine on an incredible deal (Sprint store $149) so sorry for those who paid regular price. But price has nothing to do with the quality. Best portable speaker I've seen and I'm a music lover.
