After only five months of light listening, the headphone becomes something like this. When I am searching for a solution, well, guess what I found: a daily Hifiman broke thread on Reddit. How sad! Definitely need replacement.

2nd best pair I own and I own a dozen headphones. These are great for when you are in a quiet spot alone with a good source and amplifier because they do not block incoming sound and sound escapes potentially bothering people close to you. I love that they have replaceable cables. I am using them with a Jotenheim amp with a balanced cable. They sound great. The only pair that I have that is a little better are Focal Elears and they cost ($). These are great value for the money.

Good comfort, right side didn’t work for about a minute until volume maxed to “free” plate? Was uncomfortable keeping, didn’t feel like hoping another would be different quality. Paid to return.

These have quickly become my favorite headphones. Sound is excellent. I’m comparing to other high end phones such as Sennheiser 600. My original cable had a defect. I contacted Adorama support and the quickly rectified my problem.

First off these sound wonderful and I got them for the right price. I was in the process of saving money to purchase Audeze LCD 2 unit I came across this great deal. I had a chance to hear both the LCD 2 and HE560 at the DC Capital AudioFest last year. The sound from these cans was wonderful. I currently using my Onkyo DAC-HA200 dac/headphone amplifier to drive these headphones. I am please with sound that this dac provides. I am confident that these will sound better with a more power amp. I am able to hear more detail in my music which enhances my listening experience. Currently, I trying to break in my headphones by playing white noise at hours at a time. I currently own Grado, Shure, and Sony headphones and so far this my favorite pair. Very comfortable and the build quality is top notch. I hoping that i will not have the same issues other with headbands breaking.

Very clean, clear sound, good mids, adequate bass. It needs 100-150 hrs burn-in to show its true color.

The headband broken in a few weeks of careful use. We all know products from Hifiman while has fairly good sound, the build quality is extremely low. Search in forums like head-fi, you will find bunch of similar thread about the headband. But "IF" you can DIY fix the headband, and the low build quality does not bother you at all, this can surely has a sound quality above its price.

My first one arrived defective. Right headphone doesn't have sound. Took one month to get the replacement which has better built quality than the defective one. You need a powerful amp to make it sing. Even in balanced mode,I have to push Fostex HBA4BL to 3 clock to drive it. HE560 has clean neutral sound signature. It's warmer with more mid and bass comparing to HE400i.

If you have sufficient amperage to power these, the HE560s are definitely worth a listen.

I've tried quite a few Planar Magnetics and out of all of them, I think the HE560 is the best for my needs. Extremely comfortable, pretty lightweight, doesn't clamp too had. Sound is phenomenal, but amp is recommended. Non-fatiguing and very easy to relax to. This punches way above the price I paid.

If you want to hear every details of your songs, these are the right headphones for you. It's not for bassheads, but still there is enough bass to keep me satisfied and make you feel the music. They are very hard to drive, you need a good amp to get the best out of it. I also own the Sennheiser HD600, and these are technically superior. I would use the HD600 for long term listening and the HE560 for critical short term listening. I hear things I have never heard before! Recommended

Picked these up when they went on sale. For that price, I would argue that these are unbeatable. The level of detail and clarity that you can get out of these are mind-blasting. I own a pair of Sennheiser HD650, which are a great pair of headphones in their own right. I would argue that the HiFiMan is better. Now, this statement comes with a caveat. For the price, there is no question that they blow away the HD650's. I know that the HE 560's normally retail so definitely take that statement with a grain of salt. Regardless of price, what you do end up getting is incredibly detailed sound. In my opinion, the bass is very balanced and also adequate. The highs aren't annoying and very precise. The mids are just right too. Now, are they better than other headphones around the $ range? I can't say simply because I don't have anything else to compare with. Overall, I am completely satisfied with my purchase. My setup: Schitt Magni + Modi + HiFiMan HE560.

These are probably some of the most comfortable headsets to wear. Sounds very crisp and neutral, bass is tight and deep. I ended up getting a defective headset which Adorama agreed to replace.

On sale for 350 is a great value. Including the balanced cable is just icing on the cake! Sounds awesome
