when it's on sale for $200 it's a pretty good deal typical sub par Hifiman build but fantastic sound for the dollar preferred these to the HE400se not a crazy jump in performance but had less issues overall (no driver creaking noises etc) these do take a fair bit of power I can get my HIBY R5 through balanced to volume level 70 for most music and it's only slightly loud

HE560V4 is one of the best planar headphones available on the market today. Thanks, Adorama!

This has to be given a wired amp portable or stationary. sound is not fatigued after hours of use. would say these compete with AKG and Senheigser.

I have been using these planars for three weeks. I was looking at Audeze, but these had a good sale price. I felt there was an odd crispness to the sound at first. I do not know a proper term for this, but it definitely disappeared after burning them in for a few days straight. I did this burn without listening to them, and it definitely fixed this problem as well as opened the sound. These are quite light on the bass, which I usually prefer, but it sounds like there is a push in the upper mids due to this. These need equalization and a decent amp, I would not use them with a phone. I am pairing them with an A&K Kann using the balanced connection. Despite the sensitivity rating, these are not efficient if that is a concern. Overall they have decent clarity. Personally I really like the sound. These cans are large, but comfortable for my larger head. I would prefer lambskin pads with memory foam, but these are ok for now. The cable connections at the ears are 3.5mm, not 2.5mm as stated in a few places. Best to wait on any new cable purchase to make sure, HifiMan is not always reliable on that spec. Build quality seems good,

The headphones sound amazing. I got it set-up with a profile for Peace APO and got them powered via external amp. I switched from the SHP9500s so a big upgrade for me. I gave it a four star as the head rest digs into my head for me and causes pain when wearing them for extended period. Comparing these to SHP9500s for comfort, the SHP9500s wins by a long shot. If anyone has feedback on how to improve comfort, please let me know.

This is a high quality headphone. It grips one's head just right allowing for long listening sessions without fatigue and the audio quality is superb. You'll probably want an amp to drive it. I use a Sabaj Da3 when listening to music from my phone and an Atom Amp+ when using it for gaming.

Got this headphones recently just to give a try what is this HI-FI music about. Made a small research of mine, realizing that I need an amplifier too. Didn?t know that there are so many nuances, finally I got my setup. I would say it made a difference even for me, the person who listens music on occasion. Are these headphone worth the MSRP price? Probably not. For entry level HI-FI setup not bad if they are on sale.

Very, very good headphones, only reason 4 stars is that they were not a huge improvement over the HE 400S, and not noticeable different from my Senn 600s or Grado 325s. Very comfortable, excellent soundstage and musicality. A very good buy.

Full disclosure, I bought these on sale for $230. I'll say, even at full price these are amazing. Coming from Sennheiser HD518s, which are a solid pair, this was a wild step up. I'm running them through a Schiit Stack (Modi+Magni) and I've had zero issues.

In summary, a mini-HE6 SE. I like this headband a lot more than previous iterations from Hifiman, it feels like it is going to last. The pads are very comfortable and my ears never get hot. As far as the sound is concerned, imaging and soundstage are amazing especially for the price. What surprised me most was the sub-bass extension, way better than my Sundaras by far. I really think these deserve a lot more attention than they get in the community. A solid 5/5 from me.

They are a decent set of cans and that is at the sale price, but would be a disappointment at the retail price

Coming from a Beyer Dynamics DT990 Pro, these are much better. They don't sit on my ears, they are very comfortable as I can wear them all day long and I have decently large head. Compared to the DT 990's they are more balanced. Not as harsh of highs, and much more present mids. The bass is there and plentiful. Compared to the DT990 Pro, the bass in those were amazing, but after listening to these, the DT990 bass felt like it washed out the mids. Very very impressed with these. They are hard to drive though so expect to use an amp.

This is by far the best, overall, amazing deal out there, when on sale. It is literally a steal, and I overdrew my checking account, so not to miss out on such a bargain! I also have the HE-560's, I bought here, and they were my favorite HFM planar, until picking up the HE-6SE. Now, these are my favorite set of cans, period! If you are on the fence, at all, about this can. GET IT! You will be so happy you did. It does take some power, but it is nothing my little iFi Zen Dac/Can stack, can't handle. The amp puts out 1.8 of the recommended 2 watts. While I have never needed to use more than the first gain setting, for anything ever before. I had to go up to the second(+12db) level, for these, I still had one more level I could go up, but didn't need to. I have no desire to damage my hearing.. Life without music, would be one I would have no desire experiencing. Also, the bass is stronger/deeper, than anything I have personally heard a planar produce. But, it is perfectly controlled, imo. These simply sound incredible(I know it is just subjective), but, it's hard to imagine anyone NOT absolutely LOVING these cans!

I never agreed with any reviewer when they would complain about bass roll off or sibilance it?s never as bad as they make it seem they may be true but once i get them as whole it makes sense. Then i got these and I finally get what they mean. It is good and very good at certain songs and intolerable in others. I simply bought this coz i got a coupon and thought might as well it?s a great deal. I have a 400se and an ananda and was planning on the sundara but got these instead? I shouldn?t have.

Overall these are solid performers with no noticeable weaknesses. They have that nice airy sound you want from open back headphones without being harsh on the highs. Bass is passable, but not their strongest suit. Complaints would be not enough padding on head rest, these are heavy and you do feel it after about an hour. They are power hungry, I have a quality 100 watt stereo receiver and these head phones seem to be about 20 db less efficient than my other headphones, although I suspect all planars require a lot. I would not recommend at retail price, but when heavily discounted I would.

HiFiMan HE-560 V4 Premium Planar Magnetic Headphones are a great budget choice! They are more bass prominent compared to HiFiMan Sundara headphones. I prefer the superior sound of the Sundara but when I am in the occasional mood for some bass heavy music the HE-560 V4 brings the bass. The price is cheaper than the Sundara if that helps you to decide.

Very detail-revealing, full-spectrum realistic (stage, depth, picture, etc), bring you an immerse feeling, you can tell the difference between each version of the same recording, but you need both not-so-cheap DAC and amplifier to allow it to sing to its top. I am sure I will upgrade my system to better fit its talent, and I am glad to do so.

I can compare to Sennheiser HD600 using the same DAC/amp (Monolith THX 788). The HiFiMan HE-560 is better in every way. Bass hits harder and clearer. Mids are better. Treble is better. Soundstage is better. It made me understand why people say the HD6xx series has a "veil." I'm so glad that I bought these on sale. The list price is disingenuous because no one pays that price for these headphones. Truly, it's in the same price bracket as Senn HD600.

My first set of planars, I noticed a lot of details for the first time. I think they sound better with a little eq'ing but that is just personal preference.

The Hifiman He560v4 are a great set of headphones, but they need a good amplifier to sound their best. One of my favorite planar headphones. Glad I found a great deal from Andorama!

Amazing when properly powered

Good soundstage, however detail and texture are not as good as the 400i headphones by Hifiman. I'm not sure this is because my amplifier is too weak, I am using the IFI idsd Diablo. From the YouTube reviews I have watched on these headphones, you need a good amount of power to properly power the dynamics of this headphone
