RICHARD P : Will this work on a canon 6D?DAVID H : The Hoodman H30MB will work with the D7100, however, the viewer is made for a smaller LCD like the D300. On a D7100 the H30MB fits the LCD area so tightly that it would be difficult to align it perfectly under normal conditions in the field. The H32MB is a better option since the hood is made to cover up to a 3.2" LCD and they both cost the same. David H.RONN B : Yes. I use several Hoodman loupes and use them religiously on my Canon 5D, although I prefer the less expensive models as the straps on these units are subject to disengagin/breaking.

Critical aid for viewing photos in sun

This is a replacement for a hoodman that I have used for several years. They are optically excellent. My only disappointment is that it has a larger base than the old one which sometimes presses against the control buttons on the left side of my Nikon D800E and there is no case for it which provided much needed protection. However, I would still highly recommend it as there is no other portable loupe to my knowledge and it is critical to view your shots in the sunlight,

It just works

It makes it so easy to review your pictures and not just in full sun, but in any light so you can instantly see the fine detail.

Works great!

The viewer is perfect for my IR converted D300. The Hoodman H30MB covers the LCD fully and the viewer eye-piece lens adjust so that the whole area is in focus. Even with glasses on the LCD image is bright and perfectly focused. I have not tried this yet, however, the H30MB has a standard mounting socket built into the hood so that with a thin slotted fastener and and a short bolt - the hood could easily be mounted behind the camera for a hands-free operation. I will follow up when I try it.

Hoodman H30B

The only downside of this hood is that you need to hold it up to the camera. It would be nice if there was some mechanism for attaching it.

Checking composition, focus and your histogram outdoors is easy with a HoodLoupe. HoodLoupe is worn around your neck. To review images, glare-free, place HoodLoupe over your LCD. HoodLoupe's +/- 3 diopter adjustment accommodates those with less than perfect vision; turn the eyepiece in or out to set your vision. Precise glass optics give you a bright, clear and non-pixelated image to view.

The new 3 lens optical module accepts multiple mounting bases. Should your LCD size change, you just need to buy the HoodLoupe base that fits your new LCD. To save space, the optical module separates from the base which will nest over the optical module and fit snuggly in its carry bag.
