The Hoodman is made out of solid materials. When its strapped on its very stable. I see the display easily and it fits the iPad mini perfect. Out of habit from previous hoods I keep reaching over the top and then I remember the display access from the rear. My only con is that shipping cost to Hawaii was near the cost of the Hoodman. Shows how much I needed this to add to my setup. Great buy!
