Great product
If you’re having problems with ambient light affecting you being able to see through your viewfinder this product is perfect for you. I definitely recommend it. I also think it’s great to block out distractions happening around you in busy venues.

Perfect size for your eye
I have a previous model which fell off my camera. Bought this one as a replacement and found it to be better. Its smaller which allows you to see the menu options. Purchasing this item made my day.

It works.
It works as advertised. I'm able to look through the viewfinder while wearing glasses.It rotates, so it can be used with either eye. The only downside for me is that it does block a small portion of the touchscreen. Since it's flexible rubber, a simple lift with the thumb remedies the problem.

Great eyecup, but...
The only thing wrong with this eyecup is that on my Canon EOS Rebel T4i it does not allow the swing-out view screen to open. I have to slide the eyecup partially up and off the viewfinder to open and rotate the multiposition view screen.

Exactly what I was looking for
The camera manufacturers don't give much thought to people that wear glasses. This product addresses the problem. The eyecup seals around your glasses keeping ambient light out and eliminates glare.

Hoodman Eyecup
Blocks out bright light on really sunny days. I like the eye cup seal and the rubber is soft. A great product!

And not for 60D it seems...
Ordered one for my Canon 60D after carefully researching compatibility. I mounted it on the 60D and it was clearly interfering with the articulating LCD, making it difficult to squeeze by the large cup. I open my screen often and this is a major problem which will just get worse in colder conditions, and likely to cause damage to the screen hinge.Spoke with Hoodman, they said it fits as they say on the site, then she went and confirmed my issue, apologized for the error, and I have no other option but to remove it when I want to move the screen, so back it goes[...]

Works well-comfortable-left or right
The eye piece simply slides on over the viewfinder and snaps in place--it can't accidentally come off. It fits my eye well and does a good job of blocking out light and distractions so I can easily see the image in the viewfinder. I think it's designed for use on the right eye, but I routinely twist mine around and use it on my left eye. It's one of the cheapest camera accessories I've bought, but it's near the top of my list of "best purchases." I would highly recommend it.

Excellent purchase
I was always loosing my regular eye piece because I wear glasses and putting it in and out of my bag.
This solves both issue well worth the buy

Very Good Product
I bought this to replace the original eyepiece that came with my Canon EOS Rebel XSi/450D, and I'm glad I did. With the original eyepiece, at times it was too bright to get a good look at what you were shooting at; however, with the Hoodeye, it helps cup your eye and block out extra light.

Eye cup obstructs view of LCD screen
The lower portion of the eye cup obstructs your view of the upper portion of the LCD screen. In addition I did not find that the eyecup covered my eye well and I am removing it and replacing with the original rubber piece.

Overall very good.
Does a great job of blocking out light to allow precise focus, but on the Rebel Xt it blocks out part of the screen on the back of the camera. It does change from portrait to landscape very quickly.

EXCELLENT Accessory for the Canon DSLR
The Hoodman 18mm HoodEye slipped on
to my Canon 450D like a glove and it fits SECURELY. In the past, I have lost multiple Canon eyepieces which simply slip off. The HoodEye fits well against my corrective lenses and provides a much better view of the internal display. This is a MUST HAVE accessory for Canon DSLRs.
