I think the idea for people who wear glasses, which I do, is that with glasses you can't get your eye as close to the viewfinder and what I notice is that if the sun is coming directly from the side, I often have trouble seeing the info in the viewfinder. [Shines between my eye and the lens of my specs, which are against the viewfinder.] There is one difficulty with using the Hoodeye, though: When it's in place, it partially obstructs the LCD screen on my 60D which I find to be enough of a problem that I am not using mine, although I very much like the help it gives me in looking through the view finder.ED G : I have no problems and wear glasses full time.JONATHAN J : you can use this both with and without glasses, this lens hood however does not magnify what you would see through the regular eyecupRON A : I think does not magnify. Shame because a Hoodeye is great for eye glass wearers.DAVID V : Sorry, but I am not aware of anything that will fit your DSC-H7. Good luckharvey k : I am not sure if one exists. But, I'll bet if the customer is handy that the hoodman can be easily modified to fit his camera. The thing is so cheap that to try to make one fit would be worth the try. All I know is that the hoodman had made my use of my canon very practical to use with glasses.

Larger than my previous one

My old Hoodman Hoodeye for my Canon 70D tore so I ordered a new one and it is about 50% larger than the original one I had. Liked the smaller one better but this will do.

Great with Glasses

Larger than you think.

Very good for people with eyeglasses. Makes it easier to see the viewfinder, and dosen't scratch your glasses. It does, however, cover over the screen, making it difficult on the 60D to move the screen out. Also not so easy to put on.
