Questions & Answers

Richard L : Does this work with the D7500 without interfering with the LCD screen when I open and close it?W C K : I can't answer with 100% certainty however I use it on a D750 and it does not prevent me from tilting the screen. That said you may need to flex the bottom of the eyecup a bit with your finger, but I wouldn't say it interferes. Hope that helps. FYI I love this eyecup!ROBERT J : It is a little bit in the way on one corner, but it's very pliable and can be slid out of the way on that one corner by bending it lightly. It's not a real concern for me as the eyecup is so convenient and comfortable, but a good question to ask ahead of time like this. Hope it helps- I'd definitely give it a thumbs up.ANTHONY C : I own a D750 and it works fine on that. If the eye bracket is the same as on the D7500, then it should work. Th only thing I don't like about it is that it can obscure part of the LCD screen. Otherwise, I love it and use all the time!FREDERICK K : I've only used the eyeglass eyecup on my Nikon D300S which has a non-tilt LCD screen. So I don't know if it would interfere with a tilt screen.RICK H : Hi. I’m guessing you meant D750. If so, yes it should be OK. I haven’t used mine for awhile. When you flip the screen it actually slides down just a bit. That should allow for clearance.
Michal W : Will it fit Nikon D750?DONALD C : Yes it will, it's for any square eyed Nikon.FREDERICK K : I use the HEYENSG eyecup for eyeglasses on my Nikon D300S which has a square viewfinder eyepiece. The D750 has a square eyepiece too. So you may be in luck. But I don't own the camera. So I can't say for sure.JOHN S : Model H-Eyen 22S fits. I have one on my D750. CheersDAVID C : Yes it will fit and it really works great.RICK H : Works with that camera, but honestly not as well with my glasses as I had hoped. Well built and maybe it’s just me.ANTHONY C : Yes it will. I own a D750.
Zahid K : Does this fit on a D7100?LONNIE P : yes and 7200

Wouldn't buy it again

In theory it would seem to work fine. However, IF you are wearing glasses (I purchased the glasses version), it will distort your glasses or shift them about your face. Either way, with progressive bifocals your point of clarity is skewed. The only way to eliminate this is to cut the rubber seal to accommodate for the bridge of your glasses which then prohibits you from returning it. My loss.

Not only cool looking, also working great

Works fantastic on my D750. Provides no distraction, just a great view of your "target". Once or twice it sucked up to my face in hot weather, but that was not a problem. Protects your eye (in glasses or not) from too much side light letting you better control composition and focus.

Friendly, smart and fast

Every time I call Adorama I am struck by how professional and knowledgeable and friendly these people are. The Adorama Customer Service/Sales is one of the very best group of cultured personnel in this or any other business. They are helpful, smart and they get things done. Quickly. As a professional photographer I don't need too much informational fluff, what I need is someone who speaks photography and is motivated. Adorama provides that experience each and every time I call. There are precious few companies that I actually look forward to dealing with, Adorama stands out as the best. Adorama rocks because they employ photobiz rock stars.

Doesn't Fit my D7200 Very Well

The Hoodeye adapter clicks over the rails of the eyepiece adapter on my D7200 but pops off of the right side sometimes. I have yet to try to add some clear packing or electrical tape to the 'rails' on the Hoodeye to create a tighter fit. I have contacted Hoodman and they sent me another one, assuming the one I purchased was defective. This new one is identical to the one I ordered and has the same problem with the D7200. Apparently Nikon Viewfinders are NOT all the same exact dimensions from camera to camera according to Hoodman.

For my purposes, the unit didn't work the way I wanted.. It blocked to much of the view finder, for me..

Really helpful if you wear glasses.

Helps reading the details especially in bright light. Covers most of my eye glass lens. Attached easily to my Nikon D610. I'm left eyed, so I appreciated the reversibility.

Great Eyecup If You Don't Need Glasses

I bought this to use while wearing eyeglasses and it reminded me of my camcorder eyepiece which is very comfortable and useful. However, I found that, given this is an "after market" accessory and not integrated with my Nikon D80, the image through the cup-added viewfinder appears further from view when wearing glasses. The solution: Take the glasses off which defeats the purpose of this accessory! In addition, many reviewers comments that the eyecup blocks in part the lcd screen to view images are accurate. See the screen totally, ou have to angle the rubber cup up and away. If the entire viewfinder with eyecup could "swing up" like my Sony camcorder, then you could view the lcd without any hassle. Other than that, the eyecup is comfortable to use and does block out light from coming in on either side. So, for those who DON'T wear glasses, this might work for them.

Let's you keep both eyes open

The Hoodman Eyecup for Eyeglasses works well with my eyeglasses but works even better without the glasses. I still have the regular Hoodman eyecup that I use with my D90, I bought the eyeglasses one for my new D7100. Both are very good. I find that the regular blocks out the light but you need to press your face where you can leave skin oil on the LCD. The larger eyeglass Hoodman can stop all light and makes the total focus on the viewfinder with very little skin oil on the LCD. You can get two clearly separate eye pictures with both eyes open. The viewfinder picture is surrounded by a black border while the other open eye lets you see what's happing outside of the framed viewfinder picture. Helps you to follow moving subjects. The only con could be it is larger but that's is what makes it better. This does not create a real problem for me.
