However, removal of the stock (low profile) eyecup destroyed the inner 2-sided tape (the instructions say to leave it on the inner barrel, but that was not possible). So putting the old one back on could be problematic.

I asked the person taking my order if the product was ready to go as is and was told it was. When I received the product, I realized there was no band included to connect it to the camera viewfinder. I had to go to ebay to order it. I realize each person can't know every product thoroughly, but still, it was a disappointment.and a dely.

It is a must for shooting stills outside . A little expensive but fellow photographers have purchased the cheep ones and the optics are terrible on those.

I do not wear glasses, even at 62 yrs old, but I sure need help trying to see who has their eyes closed in group pictures. The Hoodman HoodLoupe 3.0 is PERFECT for that. It's lightweight, doesn't get in my way during shots, and I can't figure out how I got along without it before. A professional photographer friend told me about it. I bought it the next day and have been sharing the good news with everyone!

- Necessary for outdoor bright conditions to review images on the camera screen - Would be better if the hood portion collapsed for storage

I put off getting one of these for years. I picked one up on sale and couldn't be happier. Using this does not compare to shielding the LCD with a hat, etc when reviewing images outside on a bright day. Even though my camera is technically a 3.2" LCD the 3" loupe works fine for me.

The Hoodloupe solved the problem of not being able to judge the image just taken on the LCD of the camera due to glare, it also magnifies the image. The diopter adjustment allows viewing without having to put on reading glasses. There are no downsides to using it.

Product was recommended to me by an instructor. It performs exactly as promised. A must-have for landscape and birding photogs. The accompanying lanyard makes it a perfect accessory.

Checking your histogram, composition and focus outdoors is easy with Hoodman's HoodLoupe 3.0. HoodLoupe 3.0 is worn around your neck just like a normal loupe. When it is time to review your image simply place HoodLoupe over LCD screen. To accommodate those with less perfect vision, HoodLoupe has a +/-3 diopter adjustment.
Precise German glass optics, give you a 1 to 1 ratio for non-pixelated LCD screen viewing. HoodLoupe is encased in hypoallergenic silicone to protect you, your LCD and HoodLoupe from damage. Detachable lanyard and protective storage case included. To faciliate mounting for video capture, HoodLoupe integrates with 1/4 - 20 mounting solutions.
