STEVEN S : I just invested in this loupe, and when i got home, I was disappointed the salesman didn't tell me about the strap. My question is: does this strap work with the Canon 60D ? Thnk youSHAWN M : The strap is adjustable it can be adjusted for any cameraPreston G : Yes. I use it on a 60D.JOSEPH K : Yes. It will fit the 60D. It's a very useful to have. Allows hands free operation.GARRY D : Hi Steven, This strap will work with most DSLR cameras but be very careful. In the illustration that adorama provided with your query to me, you can see that the strap runs up, around, and against a control knob on the top of the camera. On my Pentax DSLR, this was enough pressure to force the knob to separate from the body and come off of the camera. I applied a tiny drop of glue to reattach the knob and all has been well since, but I not longer use the strap. Different temporary attachment schemes for the Hoodman should be easy to figure out--perhaps a couple of strategically placed bit of Velcro? Etc Etc. Hope this helps. GarryRALPH S : I'm A Nikon user ,so I don't know if it will work on your CannonCHARLES Z : I would expect it to. I have used it on a 50D, 70D, and a G10LEONARD B : Yes, the straps are made of rubber, are very elastic, and can be adjusted to fit virtually any camera. The diopter adjustment on the Hoodman works great too.PAUL J : I only saw one size in this strap so I am guessing it should fit your camera. The different models of hoodloupes are made for the various size lcd screens, I use the one for the 5D Mark 3, the strap should stretch to fit your camera. It is very simple design but made to fit the hoodloupe and simply wrap around your camera to stay on. Remember not to leave the loupe on and let direct sunlight go through the eyepiece and hit your display as it could ruin it. PJohn V : Yes, I have had very good luck using the strap to secure the Hoodman to both the Canon 60D and T2i!KATHY Y : Steven, Yes, the cinema strap works on the 60D. It is adjustable. It is a little bulky to use, but it does work.DAVID M : Don't know. I have a Nikon but it didn't work well on that.
JUDI B : Is this the strap a good purchase for use with the loupe on Canon T3?STAN F : Hi Judi, The strap works well to fit the HoodLoupe to the Rebel series as well as being infinitely adjustable to be able to use it on almost any camera. I gave up on the hoodman and went with a similar product instead. CHARLES A : I use this product on my 7D when I am using live view. It does what it is supposed to do.KEITH B : It works very well...I've found I don't use it very often, however..... Mostly for studio type situations photographing macro type images when using manual/depth of field focusing with the live view option... Otherwise seems easier just to use the viewfinder ...I'd recommend it... Hope this helps....CARL W : I don't have a Canon, but the strap fits all three of my Nikon cameras, one of which is about the same size as the T-3. The strap is adjustable so it should fit just about any camera.JOEL P : Judi, the strap works fine until the sun dries out the rubber causing the parts to break. Time to failure will depend on your time spent in the sunlight. My solution is to use nylon cord in place of the soft and elastic rubber. My solution has its difficulties also. At least the nylon lasts much longer, however. (I live in Phoenix, AZ. That might help to understand my problem.)DAVID A : It should fit almost any DSLR, but check yours to see if it gets in the way of any of the buttons or controls. The Hoodman is very helpful outside in bright conditions, but unless using a tripod, I haven't found myself using the Cinema strap very often at all. I don't shoot video that much. Your needs might be different, though.JUDI B : Thanks, Charles. Appreciate your taking time to answer.CHARLES T : Haven't tried it with that camera, but it seems to work very well for me. I use it with a Fuji 3D W3 stereo that has no eye level finder. The strap seems reasonably tough and useful.LEONARD B : Judi- The strap works pretty well with just about any camera, but it works best on a camera where you keep it mounted all the time while taking pictures, so as on a camera that lacks a viewfinder. I used it on the Nikon P6000 with good success.

Good for focusing....

Helpful but not the way it's suggested... Especially when I need critical focus doing an interview... or when working in bright light - I need to check to see if I'm really in focus... The magnifier is great for the... The elastic band is weak & stretched out & serves no purpose... so I use the magnifier when needed .. never on camera as seen in the sales photo..

However, requires removal of camera neck strap to mount (each time you mount it). Hopefully, you're using a strap with quick disconnects; if not, using this would be difficult. I see that one can mount it around the lens via the sides and that works without removing the camera strap, but then it has less of a good fit (and is not fit as described on the package)

Bought this instead of EVF

Love my Sony hx50 as a back up to my OMD EM5. It is a very flexible point and shoot and a compact ulta zoom. I only struggle in bright sunlight w/o a EVF. Sony wanted more for the EVF than what I paid for the camera. The Loupe and strap is a far less expensive work around. The elastics impede nothing and hold the loupe in place nicely.

Easy to use

Works, but a bit clumsy to use.

I use this to secure the Hoodman Loupe to the LCD of my DSLR for video shooting. To use it, I found I had to change my camera strap. Once that was done, I found it worked well. It is a necessity for ourdoor shooting and does hold the Loupe in place. I can pull it away when I need to use the viewfinder and then replace it. All in all it does work and is the best option for the price.

Should be included with HoodLoupe

Straps do hold th HoodLoupe in place and works great. If you are shooting HD with your SLR, this is a must. Worked great recording football halftimes.
