Haven't done a scientific test, but they seem to work fine so far. Used them to attenuate a line signal to the microphone inputs on the Zoom H4N Pro. I set them to -40, but probably could have used the -30 setting as well. No problems, and they didn't introduce noise.

My monitors, naturally loud, are going through a studio sub with a noisy crossover. To reduce the noise, I used two of these to lower the gain going into the monitors ('Gain Staging'). They worked as described, though 20db was more reduction than I expected, so I haven't even tried the other settings.
