Dysfunctional triangle - device, app, printer
Nothing but grief. Trying to get the new printer to talk to my devices via the HP Smart app has been hopeless. Sometimes the device will say the printer is "ready" but the app will say it was "offline". It seems the app (or my devices?) can't "forget" my former HP printer and so I keep getting mixed messages. Sometimes I am told the printer is offline and yet 10 minutes later it comes back online and executes the print job. I have tried every solution (delete and reload app, repeat printer setup by manually entering the IP address, consult ChatGPT, etc, etc). None of the troubleshooting steps seem to work. It just seems like another example where a cloud based app creates a dysfunctional communications triangle.

Beautiful Print
The cartridge was easy to order, it shipped almost immediately and was so easy to install. The thing I liked the most was the easy recycle instructions. No hassle at all from start to finish.

Toner cartridge review
It's a toner cartridge. It's easy to change. It works in the printer well. It costs too much. Gotta' have it for the printer to work. The old one is easy to ship back.

Replace toner in seconds.
Super easy to swap the empty toner cartridge for the new one. Took a few seconds and the printer recognized it right away.

HP cartridges are more robust
I used non-HP cartridges and found they did not last long without problems of streaking. The Hp products last to the end without problems.

Easy to buy, easy to use
I like getting my toner cartridges through the HP store, always easy to order and always comes in plenty of time. The cartridges are so easy to install and I feel confident that I will get good copies by buying HP toner.

Quality Good, Quantity & Cost Need Improvement
It would be nicer if the products were 131X instead of 131A. Price is considerably high, considering it cost more for the ink toners than it did for the laser printer.

Originals not as expensive as you think !
I have no idea how long I've had this printer but it worked great with the original toner cartridges for a couple of years then I started replacing individual cartridges as they went light in colour.
After 2~3 complete sets of replacements I decided to try & save a few $$$$ & buy a complete set of four cartridges not made by HP.
I didn't go with the cheapest out there but maybe a 30% savings over HP.
Delivery was 10~14 days, after 4 WEEKS they arrived & I started replacing them,
Black worked fine, then I replaced the Yellow, also no problem. After 1 month I changed the red, no problem but now the yellow has lines missing down the page ? I took it out & shook side to side, now 25% of the page is covered in yellow streaks. 3 days later & I have a red stripe down both sides of the page. Oh & the seller is nowhere to be found ??
Ordered a new red & yellow from HP, arrived in 3 days, fixed everything up.
Now my wife notices the paper she printed last year is a lot darker & crisper than the one she printed this week & yes when compared side by side there is no comparison. Order a new HP black cartridge.
Never did install the blue cartridge !
What a complete waste of money ?? only HP cartridges from now on.
