Great computer / laptop
Very good computer / laptop it is fast however I wish I would have got more RAM however I can buy more RAM and install myself but it is fast it's good no complaints so far only had it one month I wonder if HP can send me for free another 8 GB of RAM so I can install

HP Laptop
The setup was easy, but took a bit longer. The Microsoft os is invasive. There were many features I do not want nor will use. Not HP's problem, I know.

Not SSD upgradeable
Not upgradeable- I purchased the Ai-17-Cn5037nr with 256G drive, thinking I could add a 2.5" 1T SATA drive that I had to it. Upon opening it , I discovered there is a space for it, but there is no cable or even a cable connector on the motherboard to add it. I verified this with HP support. They said either use an external USB drive or replace the 256G m.2 drive with a larger one.
If you typically add drive space, don't buy this model.

Simple system with no major bells or whistles added
With this one you basically get what you pay for, which is what I was expecting from this purchase. This is basically my 2nd system that I keep available in our kitchen for when I grab coffee in the morning and review my calendar and read the various news events of the day. No touch screen or Facial "Hello" or fingerprint reader. You do have PIN set up available for security. The screen clarity is great. If you're looking for a basic system that IS just a laptop, this system is in that category

Poor keyboard.
Your keyboard is hard to read. Why did you make the letters so faint? The keys should be a true black, and the letters should be white with a little bolder font. I had to send the firdt computer back because you has gray keys with faint gray font. What are you thinking?

Good laptop BUT don't purchase additional software
I am very happy with this laptop which will be used by our pastor but I wish it had more USB ports. This laptop is the fourth computer I purchased for myself or church in the past three years and we are preparing to purchase a large desktop to handle all of our audio/visual needs. The only thing I will never do is purchase any software along with my order. I purchased MS Office 2024 but never received any info on how to activate or a product-key. It took over a week and a one hour zoom call to finally install the software.

It is not ser friendly
There is NO instruction manual with this computer. It took me 5 min. to figer out how to yurn it on... It is just sitting here doing nothing.... A friend told me I had to print it out. I don't have a printer.

BUY ELSEWHERE & pay that little bit Extra
I just had heart surgery which is why I'm giving this review as late as it is.
I was advised by my daughter to buy a Laptop (CN2123NR) from BJS & since I'm a Senior Citizen & Viet Vet on a Fixed Income I figured I could get it for Less (cut out the middleman) by purchasing it directly from HP & so I called them & placed the order on 5/22 for that model or an equivalent. I was informed the model # was17t-cn300 17.3 touchscreen.
The gentleman who took my order got one for me for Less Money & even though he was very nice.....some Very Important Details were left out of our conversation that I should've been made aware of. He repeated a date of June 5th several times & so I figured that was when it was going out.
To make a Long Story Short it didn't arrive till over a month Later & upon making inquiries I was advised it was being specially made up in a foreign country (Thailand) which is why it was taking so long. Had I been informed of that information upon placing the order...I would've never ordered it from them, as I called the home office in Tenn. (Thought I was dealing with a USA Company) to place the order. Now I also find that it's either Not a touchscreen or that part of the assembly in Thailand was never added before it was sent out to me.
All in All I should've listened to my Daughter & paid a few $$'s extra & would've had it within 3-5 DAYS...Not Over a Month!!
This is my 2nd HP purchase (1st was a Printer from a store) & I'm very happy with it, but this purchase of a Laptop thru HP directly (Tenn.) was a REAL NIGHTMARE & therefore I cannot recommend the product or the Manufacturer (HP) & Will Not be buying any HP Products in the future.

Not for multiple monitor use
This laptop falls fall short of HP's normal consideration of customer needs. It will not work with a dock and has only one monitor port. The usb port will not work with monitors either (utilizing appropriate plug and play converter).

Reliable Performance with a Minor Setup Concern
The HP Laptop 17t-cn300 has proven to be an excellent device with no major issues as of the date of this review. Its overall performance has been reliable, making it a solid choice for professional use. However, one aspect that requires attention is the Microsoft Word program that was purchased as an additional feature.
Upon saving documents, I discovered that Word was preset to automatically store files in OneDrive, rather than in local storage. Since there was no prior information provided about this setting, locating saved files became challenging. After some troubleshooting, I realized my documents were stored in the cloud rather than in the Documents folder on my laptop. As someone who prefers keeping files locally, I had to take additional steps-including deleting OneDrive-to prevent automatic cloud storage.
Apart from this Word storage issue, the initial setup was smooth and hassle-free. As a certified photo-video journalist, blogger, and Google reviewer, I rely on my HP laptop and desktop for critical tasks, and this device has met my expectations well.
Overall, despite the minor inconvenience with OneDrive settings, this has been a great purchase with dependable performance. Users who prefer local file storage may want to adjust settings or seek guidance during setup to avoid similar issues.

Awesome laptop not so great battery
Solid computer. Runs as expected. Wanted a middle of the road laptop for some gaming and some productivity things. Runs the games I play pretty well at normal settings.
This is a 4star review because the only caveat with this computer is the battery life. It really isn't so bad when you're browsing the web, but when you happen to be playing a game (of any kind) as expected it drains the battery- way faster than you would expect. I'm talking about you got an hour or so until you better get it plugged in and charging. Still happy with the laptop, would like a little more life out of this battery though.
