HP 962 Original Ink Cartridge, 700 Pages Yield, Cyan

I wanted to cancel Instant Ink because it is too expensive and just buy some cartridges. I had a lot of link left in the cartridges that had come through Instant Ink but they are not allowed to be used a day after the month was paid for. So I had to send them back nearly full. I was paying about $200 a year for ink. I thought that the amount I paid each month was excessive so not letting me use up the ink seemed odd. If I dropped down to the next level with Instant Ink, they really nail you. If you contract for 300 pages a month and use 400 the penalty will be more than I was paying previously.. So that transaction took about an hour on the phone. Think carefully before subscribing to Instant Ink. If you fit the right monthly volume it is a good deal but if you use a usual amount and one month need a lot more copies, be careful. The lady I dealt with was nice but her hands were tied

The ink is great, but the "Instant Ink" program is run by the Keystone Cops. They *still* haven't gotten things straight on our subscriptions. My wife and I have separate printers for our two offices, but HP can't figure out that our two ink subscriptions are for two separate printers. We keep getting notices that our subscription has lapsed--this despite numerous phone calls with HP reps. HP is lucky it's product is good, because it's customer service is baaaaaad. If you get one, prepare to spend a LOT of time on the phone with customer service people.

After buying an off brand cartridge, I realized i couldnt use it because HP requires a chip in the cratridge for it to function in an HP printer. Not sure if that is being held hostage or the definition of blackmail.... I will do more research and buy a new Non-HP printer (cheaper than what I can buy new cartridges from HP).... Cartridges work fine and install was easy....

Purchased ink and had it ready to replace my old ink 966XL cartridge within 3 minutes of it running out. Once it was swapped, the printer suffered supply error that could not be corrected through conventional troubleshooting methods issued by HP. This, in my opinion, was a software imbedded planned obsolescence because my printer had exceeded the the lifespan expected by HP. No issues with printer until ink cartridge was replaced?this is the first 962XL cartridge since 966XL had been phased out and no longer available through HP. I doubt I ever buy from HP again. This is a big company chasing dollars not loyalty. It's a bad look as a brand the public trusts for reliability.

I've been using these HP-962xl ink cartridges for several years. What I can really say is that "They work real fine and last a long time!" I have two printers that use these cartridges and they work great in both printers. Great on photographs. As long as my HP printers hold out I will continue to use the 962xl cartridges

My printer said it needed a new black ink cartridge, so I bought one and installed it. It still wouldn't print and it then said it needed a cyan cartridge so I replaced all the color cartridges. It still wouldn't print and said it needed a new black cartridge again. I purchased all these cartridges directly from HP. An independent dealer told me that this is a software lock from HP to prevent using non-HP cartridges but it frequently locks up printers even when using direct from HP products. I bought a Canon printer.

The ink is great. The price not so much. Can't use off-brand or printer eventually recognizes it and locks up, forcing the HP purchase to print. That feels wrong especially when it's 2x's the cost. Not cool HP.

I only purchase directly from the HP website. When I installed these cartridges, my HP printer refused the yellow one claiming it had a non-HP chip. I tried to reinstall it multiple times to no avail. "Thanks" HP?i had a deadline, so I had to get a single cartridge from BestBuy.
