Disappointing. Hardware: (1) Keyboard not backlit, so difficult to see in marginal lighting, (2) mouse touchpad bad design: right mouse click frequently causes left mouse click behavior (3) power cord is USB-C, which easily be bent (4) on numeric keypad: replacement of page-up / page-down keys with calculator and power on/off. Windows 11 software: (1) toggle keys selection often doesn't work, (2) scrollbar width too small and not adjustable, (3) mouse movement difficult: trying to select left click often causes the mouse pointer to move before the left click takes effect, sometimes causing another item in a list to be targeted.

A pretty good buy for a laptop, however the more usage it gets the slower it becomes. HP sales staff was so interested in up selling the protection plans they didn't allow me time to evaluate the lack of RAM on this PC. Paired with an advanced Nvidia, 16gb ram is just not sufficient to make this an outstanding laptop. Soldered in RAM not allowing upgrades in RAM is a disgrace to HP and this PC should NOT have been offered for sale. Where were the experts that should have demanded more RAM or expandable ram?

Copilot button replaced right ctrl button. I will never use MS copilot ever. I use the right ctrl with addition of plus, minus, and 0 button for changing the font and/or picture or screen size. Lacking one working arm it is rough to hold the left ctrl and the additional button. Everything else is great. The button feel crisp, the speed is superb, the battery last a long time (one of the things I was scared about) and it feels secure not flimsy that's a big bonus for me.

Everything is great except the keyboard is compressed due to its numeric keypad. I would suggest to remove that numeric keypad and make the main keyboard to like traditional size. I often hit the wrong keys. It is frustrating. But overall it is a solid laptop.

This laptop, although new, has repeatedly had sound drive issues (which require a 2-hr call with an IT Specialist to reboot the drive), and the File Explorer has repeatedly crashed at random intervals. Poor microarchitecture and software integration thus far. I deeply regret this purchase.

I bought this HP OmniBook X 173 LT AI about a month ago. I have been dealing with an illness, ever since then, though. I have started to get it set up, but have not been able to finish. The little bit that I have started, though, I really love what I have been able to do on it thus far, and I do believe that when I get it completely set up, I will be totally happy with it. It has allowed me to do way more, than on my current Computer which is just barely hanging on.....

Nice bright display, clear , easy to read. I like the 17in display. I really miss having a second hard drive. My last laptop had 2 hard drives and a CD/DVD player, but didn't have any USB type C ports, that is why I bought this one. It has been really easy to set up, but I am having nuisance troubles trying to setup an external hard drive to make up for not having a second internal drive. All-in-all I am very pleased with this new computer.

It is a beautiful device. The keyboard is TERRIBLE. There is no space between the keys, so I spend more time backspacing than typing! I actually worked at HP for years and know they do keyboard testing with customers. How did this ever pass? It has really tainted my impression of the laptop overall. Unboxing used to be so exciting- but now it is just meh.

Just starting using for my crafts and it has been a laptop to buy. It's easy to maneuver and the screen is large, if you have trouble seeing the screen this is the laptop for you. Very good product and would buy another!

I financed this laptop and was charged. Had it custom built for space and speed. ESD was 3/19/26. Ordered on 3/8/26. Checked for an update on 3/18/26 it was still sitting in que. After several chats, where the agents told me it would ship on time, tried to upsell me on additional products when I hadn't received my laptop. A few agents told me there was a build delay. I tried to cancel but a supervisor advised me to wait because it could ship out. I received an email with a new shipping date of 3/27/26, then a new one of 4/8/26. I was livid, this is my work station, and I had already been waiting. I called, talked to two supervisors who were amazing. I was concerned that my first payment was due around the same time as the new ESD and I may not receive my laptop. They offered a credit. They gave me a new delivery date of 4/3/26. The laptop arrived via FedEx in the product box alone, no additional packaging. It was shipped overseas! There was a dent at the side of the box. I opened to inspect the laptop, the battery compartment broken, screen bent, the laptop was separating, pieces missing. I called immediately to report the damage and get a return QR code. I was given thev2 year extended warranty they kept trying to upsell me on. But since I had to return it, it didn't transfer. Even though I asked support if it could considering the fact that I had to pay out-of-pocket to purchase a new laptop from BestBuy. Smaller HD, not as much Ram and a different Omnibook 3 model. I was told yes, then the tech insinuated that I possibly broke my laptop! She stated the dent was small. It wasn't. I sent several photos and I also contacted the finance company about this issue. The credit finally was applied to my HP finance account and brought my balance to $0. The absolute worst experience ever. I thought purchasing directly from HP online would be better. It was worse! BestBuy delivered my laptop on 4/4/26, it was nested inside of 3 additional shipping boxes, on top of the product box. I can't describe how the Omnibook X performs, unfortunately. Due to improper packaging it was broken in transit.

HP is Excellent. I canceled order and they facilitated that and getting my preferred unit superbly. I realized Ultra 7, 32 gb of ram and 2 TB drive would make the machine viable much longer so I canceled a lighter spec machine and the customer support was fantastic. Beautiful big laptop, excellent touch display, backlit keyboard there is nothing left to want for. Formerly had many Dells but this machine I feel is superior. The presients day discount made getting a high soec affordable. Thank you HP!

This lap top is a great one to work on. I love the bigger screen and how the key board is so easy to work on without the touch pad getting in the way. It starts quickly, screen quality is awesome. Good value for the money. Strongly recommend.

If I ever get what I ordered over 2 months ago, maybe I'll have something to say better. They shipped the order and did no tracking on it. I had to call multiple times to find out it was damaged during shipment. I am still waiting. They are taking longer to set up the replacement than they did the 1st one. Being patient, but it is wearing thin.

I have been using my new HP laptop for a month, I love the larger keyboard, performance is great and it was very easy to transfer all my legacy data and browser URLs to new one. I had my previous HP about 8 years so it was definitely time for upgrade. My only negative comment, it took about 3 1/2 weeks from purchase date to actually receiving computer.

Negatives: Separate USB port for power - not a round power port and not combined with the main USB-C port. Ethernet port is not separate. Unit powers on whenever the lid is opened. Cannot defeat this behaviour. Built-in touchpad is crazy huge yet absent is the old "eraser" style mouse once included amidst the keyboard. HP website was lacking in pictorial representation of the end product else most of these issues would have been avoided through purchase of an alternate model.. Paid a sizable sum for a computer I'm less than pleased with from a company I'd come to depend on.

I ordered the OmniBook X Laptop Next Gen AI 7t-dd000, 17.3 from the HP online Store. It was customized so it took longer. It took a month and a half to receive it!! It was NOT as shown on the website. Most of the pictures on the website were of the computer I wanted. After careful observation, I noticed a few pics were of the computer that was delivered. Very unhappy with my computer.
