Set up didn't go smoothly - I had plugged in a network cable, that seemed to completely derail the wireless/network capability. I had to uninstall and set up twice already. The printer loses network connectivity often (that could be Windows 11, but my other HP printer (older laserjet) doesn't lose connection (although it doesn't like "waking up" and has to be power-cycled). The new printer doesn't like waking up either - I often have to unplug it for a few seconds to reboot to get it to work. Other than that, it prints nicely. There's no way to SCAN from the device itself, one must use the Smart app which is a bit cumbersome. Scanning is very, very slow (not like my 12+ year old SnapScan...which is lightning fast). Copying, obviously, is slow because the scanner is slow. The scanner also has a tendency to skew whatever it scans instead of keeping it straight. If I wasn't very skilled in Windows and hardware, this device would have gone back to HP the day I unpacked it. It is not user friendly.

Setup was straight forward and easy with the HP smart software. I was up and running in less than 30 minutes.

I bought this printer in September 2025, took a bit to get it recognized by my IMac. Skip Forward toNovember 2025 when I changed internet providers, now it will not connect to wifi, the dashboard icons don't light up and it's not usable. I used it for small business and tis is unacceptable. Trying to contact HP is impossible to get this matter resolved. I don't remember ever having so much trouble with HP.

Disappointing product. The power saving feature forces the user to unplug the printer before recognizing a request for an output once it enters the power saving mode. This is on a Mac book air M3 2025. I will return it if possible.

I really like this printer. It has excellent color printing of my photos, even on plain paper. Sets up easily; however, opening the portals to put in the ink is not explained well in the Setup Guide. It is a good size for home use and connected easily to my network. I highly recommend it.

Very disappointed in the printer design, especially the function display, which uses obsolete graphics and is impossible to figure out. The print quality is good, but I can't get my iMac to send color photos to the printer. This is my first HP printer; so perhaps that's my problem. And the color print paper that was recommended made a mess of the photo. Anyone suggest a paper that works with the 7301?

I had high hopes for the printer, however out of the box the printer had black and colored streaks for every printing. Go through the alignment and cleaning protocols no help. The print was illegible and any attempt at pictures just created lines that made this one of the poorest printers I have ever used. The only thing worse than the low quality of this printer was the customer service that was inept. Attempt to return this printer was so painful, I will never buy an HP product ever again! Please do yourself a favor, do not buy this low quality printer and do not buy HP products.

Printer arrived as scheduled in new condition and appropriately packaged. Had never done a tank before but setup instructions were relatively complete and setup was easy. This machine is used by location manager for production, email, software maintenance upgrades, and check printing. Have had no complaints from staff after several weeks so all is well. Anticipating ink replacement to be as easy and initial charging.

I can definitely see advantages to having a tank printer. We love everything about it, except for the fact that we cannot figure out how to get it to print legal size paper. We also can't get it to scan legal size paper. I would imagine this is our fault for not knowing to look for that Before we purchased.

This is a good product for a good price. I like the tank way of suppling ink. It is cost effective and helps the environment. Negatives are that it is loud, not easy how to learn the functions and not "user friendly" for dual sided copying, and scanning, along with scanning to send a document to another person.

Got frustrated with the app and the 'wireless' connection. Ended up moving printer next to internet modem so I could plug it in.

Nice unit, smart tank ink is much better than cartridges. Instructions fail to mention right up front that you need to be connected on wifi to do the original settings. Was on Lan and wasted time til I figured it out. Other than that, if you are off printing for over a week, you will have to turn it off and back on for the wifi to print. Small inconveniences but I would buy again.

For the price of this printer, it is slow, noisy, produces faded-looking colored print, made of flimsy plastic material that feels fragile if handled even mildly. And it occasionally picks up 2 sheets of paper when printing, so that part of the print at the bottom of the top page is cut off and prints on the top of the sheet after it. This causes us to print all over again and only putting ONE PAGE in the tray to prevent it from happening again....time consuming, waste more paper, wasting more ink. Additionally, unlike our printer before this, we do NOT like that we have to sign-in to the HP Smart App to scan documents into a pdf format.

Love the fact that the printer does not use cartridges and hope the print head last as long as the 8600 series which is still printing after almost ten years. A little disappointed that it does not have a fax line port, and I am still trying to figure out how to copy duplex from the feeder. Overall, pretty happy so far, but it has only been about a month.

I was leery of purchasing smart tank printer after so many years using a cartridge printer believing it would be difficult to set up and use. However, the instructions from HP were easy to follow. Just as important was establishing the WiFi connection set up. My older HP printer constantly went off line. The Smart Tank does not. The cost of printer cartridges had gotten very expensive. With the smart tank printer, ink costs are signficantly less, lowered by several hundred percent. I could not be more pleased with the smart tank 7302.

Fast setup and very easy to configure. Probably the fastest setup of all the AIO tank printers to date. It's ready to print in a moment and is super speedy on black printing.

Having the HP Smart Tank printer for a few months has been very nice for me. The ink tanks are a breeze to refill and last very long time, so I never worry about running out of ink. The print quality is amazing-sharp and vibrant, whether it's documents or photos. Setting it up wirelessly was a snap, and the HP Smart app makes printing from my phone super easy. All in all, it's been a reliable and cost-effective addition to my home office.

This printer was very easy to set up. I just followed the instructions on the HP app. The main thing I love about this printer is that I don't have to deal with cartridges or toners anymore. The printing quality is amazing and printing is fast and quiet. Overall this printer is a great, cost-effective choice for home or a small office.

The Smart Tank 7301 seems to work well. It handles heavier paper better than my previous printer (an HP8710). It does an excellent jop with everyday printing and the few photos I've printed seem to be decent quality. I haven't had it long enough to judge ink usage, but after almost 2 months the HP Smart app is still showing full tanks. The only negative is that the printer "feels" cheap. It is definitely lighter than other printers I've owned and the paper tray, which is all plastic, feels flimsy and parts don't slide as easy as older style trays. That being said, I have not yet had a paper jam or misfeed

This printer is living up to the high standards I have for HP printers. And the new "tank" design is great! Great print quality and speed. Does everything I need for my office.
