This advanced kit consists of two robust components: a sender (HR-101-S) and a receiver (HR-101-R), designed to facilitate high-quality audio extension over long distances using fiber optic cables.The HR-101-S is a compact, yet powerful microphone amplifier with a stereo line-level mix. It can function as a standalone device or be paired with the HR-101-R for enhanced audio transmission. This unit features a balanced mic input on an XLR connector and a stereo line level input on a 3.5mm mini-stereo jack, accommodating a wide variety of microphone types.Equipped with an adjustable-gain low noise mic preamp, the HR-101-S offers a gain range of +34 to +54 db (or x50 to x500). This ensures optimal audio quality by preventing saturation and clipping due to excessive gain. A digital VU meter on the front panel provides a clear indication of volume levels.The HR-101-S also offers the convenience of phantom power, which can be activated via a front panel switch. Its stereo line input, located on a standard 3.5mm (1/8 inch) connector, mixes seamlessly with the amplified microphone signal. This feature allows a presenter to connect their PC's audio to the line input and plug the mic into the XLR, resulting in a perfect blend of the speaker's voice with the PC audio.For output, the HR-101-S provides both stereo analog (on 3.5mm) and SPDIF digital (on RCA) options, along with a fiber-optic ST connector for driving long cables up to 3,280 ft. to a compatible receiver.The HR-101-R Receiver, the second component of this kit, features an ST fiber optic input connector to receive audio from the sender. It provides a stereo line level output on a 3.5mm mini-stereo jack and a SPDIF digital audio output on an RCA connector.With the HR-101, you can extend audio over a single multi-mode fiber optic cable spanning distances of over 1000m (3280ft). For optimal performance, OM2 or OM3 cables are recommended for lengths up to 500 meters, and OM3 cable is suggested for distances over 500 meters.
