Hall Research UV232B-R VGA & Bi-Directional RS-232 Receiver

While the UV232B-R VGA & Bi-Directional RS-232 Receiver is a compact yet powerful device, it is designed to transmit high-resolution video and full-duplex RS-232 over a single twisted-pair cable to a remote location up to 500 feet away. This unit serves as the RECEIVER component of the kit, accepting input video from a variety of sources including RGBHV (PC video to WUXGA) or YPbPr (HD analog component to 1080p).

With its DDC compliant EDID emulation, it ensures seamless PC boot-up with video output. The bi-directional RS-232 functionality allows for control of LCD's or Projectors equipped with RS-232 control, or for connection to a compatible touch-screen LCD. This makes it an ideal solution for a wide range of applications, from kiosk solutions and conference halls to digital signage and interactive operator systems, as well as factory or laboratory data acquisition and control.

The UV232B-R VGA & Bi-Directional RS-232 Receiver is designed to be powered from a VESA compliant VGA source (+5v on Pin 9), requiring a power supply (included) only at the Receiver end. However, if the source is not VESA compliant or if the video is YPbPr (using a 3 RCA to HD15 input cable), a power supply (included) is needed at both Sender and Receiver ends.

For optimal image quality, it is suggested to use low-skew UTP cables (such as Hall Research's Zero-Skew cables). At longer distances (>200ft) and high-resolutions, RGB skew may occur, necessitating a separate skew corrector (HRT Model SKU-RGB).
