The lens is small and light, consistent with the design concept of the camera. It is extremely sharp - more than capable of getting the most out of the 50mp CMOS sensor of the X1D. Edge sharpness is excellent. Contrast and color are very good. The Phocus software works very well to tune up the lens performance (minor distortion and vignetting potential). Highly recommended.
Great pleasure
This is currently my only lens for my new X1D, with plans to next add the 90mm lens. The 45mm is perfect in size, and is easy to use on the camera. My first few photos look great, and this lens is the perfect "first" for a wonderful camera.
