I initially bought the XCD 4/28P, but since I wanted to shoot the aurora, I also purchased the XCD 2,5/25V. The f/2.5 aperture is definitely useful, and I was able to capture beautiful aurora shots. The image quality that concerned me with the 28P was not an issue at all with the 25V, even without any corrections. Now, for everyday outings, I use the 28P and 55V, while for landscape photography trips, I go with the 25V and 55V. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

I was fortunate to receive one of the first examples shipped of this lens. It is far lighter and more portable than the previous 90mm 3.2 and especially the heavy-as-a-log 80mm f1.9. Honestly this lens does not seem that much better for autofocus than any of the earlier lenses, despite the marketing claims, on either the X2D or the 907x, and I find I don't use or like the secondary ring that can be set to control aperture or shutter speed or EV or whatever?but that is because I generally don't use autofocus on either Hasselblad OR Phase One cameras (I get faster and more consistent results in Manual focus mode and Hasselblad has excellent focus assist tools), and I DO keep grabbing the secondary ring and then wondering why the focus doesn't move. First few times I shifted aperture because of this mistake, so now I turn the ring completely OFF in the camera. Image quality is everything I'd expect, Hasselblad color science produces fantastic images straight from the camera and minimizes my post production corrections. The 65mm f2.8 is still my favorite but this one is every good

This is an incredible little lens with outstanding image quality and tank like build. Sleek, small, beautiful, rich features, quiet and super sharp. Highly recommended for X2D users.

Incredible quality camera lens Best combination with the latest camera. It's not easy to buy, but it's worth it.

I purchased this XCD 55mm direct from Hasselblad but have bought other lenses from Adorama. This is a bit smaller than the other X series lenses which is a bonus, using a 72mm filter size. I was very impressed with how quickly it focuses compared to other Hasselblad lenses. It is very quick, spot on, and I have not noticed much hunting as I have with some of my other system lenses. I shot a commercial product shot which has a Hoya Sparkle Filter on it to show small cross stars on some of the lights in the shot. I will probably use this as a street camera lens on my X2D going forward. I am impressed. I have no issues with this lens.

Beautiful and High Performing Gem!
By Sam S.
This is an incredible little lens with outstanding image quality and tank like build. Sleek, small, beautiful, rich features, quiet and super sharp. Highly recommended for X2D users.
After careful design and engineering, the XCD 90mm f/2.5 V Lens emerges as a top-tier optical instrument, boasting nine elements in six groups, inclusive of one aspheric element. This moderate telephoto lens, equivalent to a full-frame 71mm focal length, delivers superior optical performance in a compact build, supporting an image resolution exceeding 100 megapixels.
The large f/2.5 aperture makes this lens a prime choice for portrait photography, producing a soft bokeh effect that accentuates the subject. The upgraded leaf shutter, capable of reaching a speed of 1/4000s, ensures flash synchronization at all speeds, making the XCD 90mm f/2.5 V Lens a versatile tool for various lighting conditions.
The lens features a newly designed focusing module that provides quick and accurate focusing. The dual-ring design includes a focus ring and a lens control ring, with a simple push-pull mechanism to switch between AF and MF modes. In MF mode, focus distance and DOF readings are easily accessible.
The XCD 90mm f/2.5 V Lens is lightweight, weighing only 551g, making it 11 percent lighter than its predecessor, the XCD 3.2/90. This lens is not only compact but also delivers an apochromatic effect for accurate color correction, making it an excellent choice for professional photographers seeking precision optics for outstanding imagery.
The lens is equipped with a new focusing module that adopts a linear stepping motor and a lighter, smaller focusing lens group. This design eliminates backlash from the lens group movement, resulting in fast, flexible, and accurate focusing.
The XCD 90mm f/2.5 V Lens also features an upgraded leaf shutter that is smaller yet maintains the same precision performance as its predecessors. This lens is capable of capturing at up to 1/4000s, the fastest among medium format lenses, and delivers flash synchronization at all speeds.
The lens showcases a familiar yet new industrial aesthetic, with a precision-crafted metal body, a focus ring, and a newly added control ring, both delicately engraved with the Hasselblad "H" logo. The design pays homage to the memorable look of the HC/HCD lenses while standing on its own as a unique, elegant statement.
The lens is designed to feel comfortable and intuitive in hand, with the tactile mechanics of the focus and control rings fine-tuned for a smooth and satisfying experience. The control ring can be customized for quick access to preferred functions, making shooting more convenient and efficient.
This bundle also includes Hoya 72mm UV and CPL Filters, enhancing your photography experience by protecting your lens and improving image quality. The UV filter shields your lens from harmful ultraviolet rays, while the CPL filter reduces glare and reflections, enhancing color and contrast in your images.
