Piece of rubbish! How can they make

What a piece of rubbish! It does NOT screw onto my Canon EF 16-24 II L lens, (the most popular wide angle lens for landscape), so what does Hitech want me to do? Hold the filter by hand whilst I take a photo?? I have the adapter for the 77mm as well, and that screws on perfectly. Why no thread for the 82mm??? Shame on Hitech.
