uses: carrying camera gear or general hiking I have a 5.11 brand that is similar, but is stronger and feels a lot heavier. This has lots of pockets of various sizes and It is more comfortable to wear. I don't expect is will stand up to rough use, but it should be great for use as a casual photographer. I may get one in black for photographing formal events. Purchased 8-2013

I got this product for outdoor shoots so I can have pockets to carry everything without running back to my bag or vehicle all the time. I'm a big boy and broad sholders as well as a big stomach. It fits like it is supposed to I bought a supposed 2x from another site and I gave it away as a gift to a female photographer friend a petite as in shops in kids clothes kind of petite. That so called 2x fit her. This one was accuarte and comfortable you can not beat it for the price. It is comprable to much higher costing vests.

I used to carry my lenses and accesories on a backpack/cmera bag. This meant that I had to take off th back pack to change lenses, the extra time to do so caused me to miss the shot. Now I can just grab the desired lens out of the pockets, a lot quicker.

I purchased this vest because I was shooing a bicycle event and didn't want to have to carry a bag around with me. It fit perfectly from the moment I put it on. However, there were a lot of loose strings in the seams and all. Once I pulled most of them off, it was much better. Plenty of pocket space for almost all your needs and the fact that it folds into it's own bag is a plus for when you're not using it. The double velcro pocket midchest was a little hard to get in one-handed, but with my camera around my neck, I had no problems. If you're looking for a vest, I would recommend this one.

This vest holds all the essentials from filters, batteries, lens paper, cleaner, flashlight, Leatherman tool, spiked feet for tripod, Memory cards, to "America the Beautiful" BLM Pass. The only thing it was missing was a loop on the back to attach my 5-in-1 diffuser/reflector set but that was easily solved. Perfect solution for the Outdoor Photographer here in America's West. Plus the price is right compared to other Products with fancy brand tags like Domke.

As a photographer/geologist, I frequently take pictures of nature and various landforms. This is a nice, lightweight vest that serves its' purpose. I can carry spare memory cards, batteries,and even the odd lens without difficulty. While there are studier photographer's vests on the market, this serves nicely for occasional field work.
