The camera's built around a SONY CCD sensor, which provides 700TVL video output as well as still-image capture. Low-light performance is aided by digital noise reduction technology, as well as an IR cut filter and supplemental LED lighting, increasing the night vision range to 100 meters in total darkness. Other security features include motion and intrusion detection and a tampering alarm.
The camera's housing is weatherproofed to an IP66 standard, meaning it can be installed in an open outdoor setting such as under a large overhang, near entry/exit doors, or in uninsulated structures like garages. It can operate without issue in temperatures as low as -40F and as high as +140F, and can handle humidity up to 90%. Additionally, the housing is rated to IK10 for impact resistance.
