The camera housing has a weatherproof rating of IP66, meaning it can be used year-round, even in inclement weather. An internal heater allows for operation in extremely cold or hot temperatures (the range is approximately -40 to +140 degrees Farenheit) and enables automatic defogging and defrosting. This also gives the camera the ability to deal with large fluctuations in humidity or temperature, such as being positioned near a door or entrance in a cold climate,or close to ventilation systems. The housing also has an impact-resistance rating of IK10.
