The camera's built around a 1/3" progressive-scan CMOS sensor, which provides 720p video output as well as still-image capture. Low-light performance is aided by digital noise reduction technology, as well as an IR cut filter and supplemental LED lighting, increasing the night vision range to 30 meters in total darkness. Other security features include motion and intrusion detection and a tampering alarm.
The camera's housing is weatherproofed to a medium-level standard, meaning it can be installed in a protected outdoor setting such as under a large overhang, near entry/exit doors, or in uninsulated structures like garages. It can operate without issue in temperatures as low as -22F and as high as +140F, and can handle humidity up to 90%.
