HiViz LITEWAVE Interchangeable Front Sight for Ruger 22/45 Lite Handgun

This past Thanksgiving, I bought several firearms from a friend who is getting up in years and wanted to thin his collection. Among the firearms I purchased were a Ruger SP101 327 Federal Magnum, and a Ruger Redhawk .45 Auto/.45 Long Colt. The SP101 came from Ruger with a neon green fiber optic front sight, which I really liked. The Redhawk came with a factory red blade front sight. I test fired the Redhawk before purchasing. @ Ten yards with the factory red blade front sight, the Redhawk was shooting dead on target. I purchased the HiViZ LITEWAVE front sight from Adorama as a Christmas present to myself. Although the sight was on backorder, Adorama kept me updated, and allowed me to cancel my order if I chose to do so. Adorama had the best price I was for the HiViz sight, so I waited for them to come back in stock. Installing the sight on my Redhawk took less than a minute. Yesterday I shot my Redhawk for the first time with the HiViz LITEWAVE front sight. @ Ten yards, the Redhawk was shooting 13-15 inches high! The Redhawk has adjustable rear sights. Although I did not do so yesterday, there is plenty of adjustment to the rear sight to zero the gun. Next time I go to the range, I will bring a table and sandbags and zero my Redhawk. I am confident I will be able to zero my Redhawk with the KiViz LITEWAVE front sight, making it a very nice upgrade.

I ordered these sights because Ruger is now offering them on the factory LC9. Adorama offered the sights at a good price. They had to order them and they arrived quickly. I am really satisfied.
