Hoya makes nice filters that don't cost an arm and a leg. I own at least half a dozen. This X1 filter is a bit of a mystery - I passes way more red light than I would have thought based on the curves on Hoya's website. In addition it came with a UV A/B warning which I couldn't understand because Hoya's curve shows it block UV. I contact Hoya customer support and they confirmed it does block UV and does not have a passes UV warning
