AJAY C : Is this filter good for a ultra wide angle lens like Canon's new 10-18mm ?.STEVE M : I have the same filter in 77mm size on my Canon 10-22mm and have had no issues with vignetting. I cannot say for sure if that would be the case with this lens and filter, but I have read reviews that say there is no problem. The Hoya alpha UV filters are good.DONG WOOK A : I dont recommend putting uv filter om ultra wide lensMIKHAIL E : Short answer: I'm not sure. I personally have a filter on every lens I own. A low profile filter is what you want on a wide-angle lens but even then a filter might still give you some "interesting results" as one reviewer of that lens put it. Start by reading reviews of the lens itself and put your question on photography blogs. This is just my amature 2c. Good luckNEDZAD C : It's good for any lens where it will fit. THIS IS THE FIRST COATED GLASS FILTER THAT I HAVE BOUGHT AND OY WORKS GREAT . IT IS ALSO EASY TO CLEAN COMPARED TO THE CHEAPER FILTERS . SO FAR IT DOES WHAT THE ADD SAYS IT WOULD DO .

Good filter for right price

Protects my new 85mm f1.8 af-s lens. Its multi coated so helps with ghosting. Its not as good as my b&w mutli coated filter but hey its about 40 dollars cheaper. I have no problem using it during daytime.

Works just fine

I use this filter mainly for protection of the lens it's on. It's made well, is coated, and is relatively inexpensive. The alpha series doesn't leave one wanting for any of the more expensive options.

Very Good Product

I bought this for protection for my Nikon 70-200mm F4 lens. I have always used Hoya to protect my lens and this one is just as good as the rest of them. It is sturdy, well made especially for the price and I would buy again. You really can't go wrong with this filter.

Trail Ready

I find this filter a welcome security for my 67mm lenses as it protects against UV, oops handling and trail dust in the boonies. It fits appropriately on my lenses and allows me to stack a Hoya polarizer as needed without affecting image quality, plus the price is right on.
