HPS lights, while excellent for plant growth, emit a potent color spike in the 570-590nm (yellow/orange) area of the color spectrum, which can drastically affect the quality of your images. This color intensity often overwhelms camera sensors, making in-camera color correction, even with custom white-balance options, a challenging task.

Our durable Grow Light HPS filter is designed to specifically target and neutralize this color spike, preventing it from reaching your camera sensor. This allows your camera, smartphone, or video camera to auto or custom white-balance the scene effortlessly, resulting in superior image quality.

Please note that the images and videos produced using this filter kit are straight from the cameras and phones we used, with no edits made except for cropping. The "after" shots were only adjusted for exposure in-camera by increasing the ISO 2 full EV steps to compensate for the 2-stop filter factor.
