Good UV filter, it is super thin and lightweight. I noticed there's no dust specs on it (due to anti-dust/static property) on the filter after an afternoon out in the field. The front threads allow mounting of other filters.

I bought this as a protective filter. I use such a filter on all my best lenses. I was intrigued about the antistatic coating and was skeptical. It actually works very well. I collect much less dust on this filter than on others I use. I’m now a believer!

Excellent light transmission and seems to stay fairly clear of dust on its own. I’d give it five stars but in the short time I’ve had it, I’ve already noticed a few hairline scratches on the glass. Not sure exactly what caused those, but it would seem to me that filters of this quality should have a higher degree of scratch resistance.

This is all you need to protect your lens. Doesn't attract dust or smug. Easy to clean. I just leave it on the lens and don't have to bother with a lens cap.

Had this for about two months -- haven't taken it outside in the rain yet to see how it performs with moisture. But the anti-static feature seems to be keeping regular dust off of the filter.

Nicely built product, doesn't appear to impact image quality. I'm not sure about the anti static being effective it still gets dust but it is very easy to clean. It's on all my lenses, I won't use cheap filters and degrade quality equipment to save a few bucks.

Let's say you just spent $2000.00 on a new lens. Of course you want to protect the lens from dust and scratches. So, you spend $25-$35 for a UV or Skylight filter.
