Having the gimbal attached to the handle is great.
I feel like it has more contact with the table when the gimbal is set down. 
The grip is confortable for my hands.

The materials are old and do not feel cheap. 
T hex screw wanted to back out but I think I finally have it tight enough. 
I added felt pads to the bottom to keep the handles metal feet from scratching surfaces. 

I wish I could add a tripod plate to the handle. the machined hole with threads is too close to the foot to add a plate. 

Glad I got it to use with the DS1 gimbal.

DS1 is more secure in my hands with the grip handle

This is a must have accessory for the EC1. It stands solid with the gimbal attached so you don't have to worry about knocking it over while balancing. Gimbal is much easier to hold and control.
Looks professional vs DIY.
Highly recommended.
