Slide Plate
What I like best about the Tilta cage is the slide plate for the external battery. It gives enough space to slide a BP-U35 battery into the camera. It makes it easy to hotswap the external battery as the camera will automatically switch to the internal battery then switch back to the fully charged external battery. Camera never shuts down. Only wish it could slide further back to insert a bigger internal battery.
How can you enhance your filming experience with the Sony PXW-FX9 Equip your camera with the Tilta Camera Cage, meticulously engineered for the Sony PXW-FX9. This high-quality camera cage is designed to fit seamlessly around the top handle of your Sony PXW-FX9, providing a secure and sturdy frame for your device.
The top plate of the cage incorporates 15mm LWS rod adapters at the front, enabling effortless mounting of the camera's viewfinder. The cage also features a Tilta Battery Plate, available in a sophisticated gold mount. This battery plate attaches directly to the back of the top plate, snugly fitting the rear side of the camera. It offers multiple power outputs, facilitating the powering of various accessories.
The bottom of the Tilta Camera Cage is equipped with a Sony VCT-U14 compatible baseplate. This feature allows you to attach a wide range of accessories using 15mm LWS rods, positioned on either the front or back side of the plate. The baseplate also boasts an ergonomic shoulder pad, enabling quick detachment from the VCT-U14 plate and instant readiness for shoulder mounting.
The baseplate is further enhanced with Arri Standard Rosette connections on both left and right sides. This allows for the attachment of handles, including Sony's own PXW-FX9 operating handle, for handheld operation. A built-in lens adapter support bracket is also included on the front side of the plate.
For added protection and mounting options, a side plate is included. This, along with the top plate, provides several 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting points. This allows you to mount a diverse range of accessories, making the Tilta Camera Cage for Sony PXW-FX9 a versatile tool for all your filming needs.
