Use this closeup lens on my Lumix-Leica 100-400 mm. Takes great orchid photos. Turns my 800mm equivalent lens into a macro lens (almost)..

I shoot a lot of macro using my 5 primes, a Raynox DCR 150 , and a Nikon 4T close up adapter on Nikon DSLRs. I bought the Nisi for use on my Nikon mirrorless with my long telephoto zooms for convenience and have been very pleased with the results. It also allows me to focus stack using the Z step motor AF macro. I also like the supermacro results using it with the macro primes. Although it came with plastic, non threaded stack caps I added some inexpensive aluminum threaded ones. The included case is very nice but a bit larger than I want to slip in a pocket. I already had a set of step up rings that make it adaptable to any of my lenses.

It's a huge step up from normal +2 macro filters and that sort of thing. This is a premium piece of equipment. I use it on my Pentax DA* 55mm f/1.4 to take very, very close shots of flowers and water droplets. The 49mm adapter ring means I can also use it on my DA Limited lenses. I hadn't heard of NiSi before this, but I'm very impressed with the anti-reflective coatings and the optical quality. Be aware that it is somewhat large and heavy. I still bring my cheapo +2 macro filters on hikes, because I want to save the weight. But for studio or professional work, this is a great addition.

Optically it?s great. Works really well on the Nikon Z 70-200 S lens, Clarity is excellent but it does make the lens a little front-heavy, but it?s very usable. My only gripe is that the case fits too snugly and I cannot remove the lens with the caps on it from the case. I understand the need for a snug case, but it?s not usable as delivered. I took the lens and caps out of the case the manufacturer supplied, and relegated the case to hold something trivial instead.

Lightyear's better than the Raynox DCR 250 in terms of IQ. The overall IQ is great. It's not 5 stars because it's not stunning but as close to 5 stars as you can get. Great little piece to have in your bag/pocket. I like it better than my Kenko tubes. For outdoor macro, this is probably the best. For indoor macro, I "might" still use my tubes.

Just finished using it to photograph a post card. Did a fine job in spite of poor light

This close-up lens is a beast. It is surprisingly heavy. Unlike close-up lenses of prior eras this lens is a doublet (2 lens elements) which by design has no chromatic aberration. I am using it on a Sigma 105mm macro lens with 26mm of extension tubes. Combined with all 3 I am achieving 2:1 macro and the results are truly astounding. I know that the intended market of the NiSi is to achieve macro results with a telephoto lens for people who can not afford a macro however I want to make clear that this close-up lens has great value when used with a macro lens to reach much higher levels of magnification. The color rendition is superb. The flexibility of being able to use this lens with my 62mm filter mount Sigma macro as well as lenses with 67mm, 72mm and 77mm front lens elements means I do not have to purchase the lens for each of my intended lenses. For that alone this lens is a bargain.

Awesome closeup lens. I found I liked using this better than my old actual macro lens, as it is quicker to use and feels like my photos are sharper using it than the macro as well. If you already have a lens that this kit is compatible with, it is a nice (and cheaper) alternative!

Fabulous closeup lens...high quality image results...more than happy with the purchase. Anyone wanting closeup photos you should consider this closeup lens. I'm not seeing any CA/distortion using this lens...could be that Sony cameras correct for that but it's not there. Nice case and adapter rings included.

So far great results and beat myself up for not getting the NiSi Close Up lens a while ago. Being quarantined has helped me get into practicing using it a bit more and learning to manually focus and just happy with the results. I was going to spend $898 to get a macro lens but getting the NiSi close up was just worth it and I saved some funds to get more gear. Don’t waste time and money, just get this lens add on and you won’t be disappointed

What sets the NiSi Close-Up Lens Kit NC 58mm apart is its ability to transform your regular lens into a macro lens, enabling you to capture the minutest details with precision. This kit, complete with 49 and 52mm adapters, is designed to reduce the minimal focal distance, thereby enhancing the magnification of your subject. The level of magnification achieved is contingent on the focal range of your lens, with higher magnification achievable with longer focal lengths.
The NiSi 58mm Close-Up lens boasts a +5 diopter and is crafted from double optical corrective glass. Its apochromatic design and multi-nano coating ensure superior resolution and natural color reproduction, virtually eliminating purple/green fringing both within focus and in bokeh. At a focal length of 120mm, you can expect a 1:1 magnification ratio, bringing your subject to life in stunning detail.
This lens kit is versatile, offering no vignetting at 35mm on a full-frame sensor camera and 24mm on an APS-C sensor camera. It's compatible with lenses featuring a 58mm filter thread and a focal length ranging from 24-250mm for APS-C frame prime/zoom/macro lenses, and 35-250mm for full-frame prime/zoom/macro lenses. It's also suitable for macro lenses with a 58mm filter thread and a focal length over 50mm.
For optimal results, we suggest maintaining a working distance of 9-22cm. Whether you're photographing insects, flowers, or intricate jewelry, the NiSi Close-Up Lens Kit NC 58mm with 49 and 52mm adapters is your key to unlocking the world of macro photography.
