Ikan Stratus Complete Cage for Sony A7R IV & A7III Series Cameras

Just released from Ikan, the STR-A7IV is a meticulously designed, form-fitting camera cage, specifically tailored to accommodate the Sony A7R IV and A7III series cameras. This high-quality, durable cage is composed of three main components: a top handle, a base, and a camera frame, each serving a unique purpose.

The top handle, which mounts directly to the front of the cage frame, boasts 42 1/4-20 mounts. When bare, it can be customized with Ikan grips or even bicycle handles for a personalized touch. A 15mm rod can be inserted into the handle's end, secured with a 1/4-20 screw through one of the many mounts. A conveniently placed cold shoe mount at the front of the handle allows for easy attachment of accessories.

The camera frame, shaped specifically for the Sony A7 III-style body, features strategic cutouts for button and dial access. It also provides easy access to memory card slots, A/V inputs & outputs, and remote port access. A cutout over the battery port enables quick battery swaps without the need to unmount the cage. The cage's left side hosts a positionable, universal cable clamp to support cables nearly anywhere on the camera's left-hand side.

The base of the STR-A7IV is sleek yet sturdy, equipped with mounts for two included 15mm rods and both 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 mounting points for tripod quick release plates. Large, solid locking knobs with a kipping function ensure secure attachment even when partially obstructed. The base locks to the frame with an Arca-Swiss style connection, featuring hard stops on either side for safe horizontal positioning. Vertically positionable rods with about 1" of play accommodate matte boxes, follow focuses, and lens supports for various lens styles. A lock-and-track on the base's bottom caters to lightweight (15mm) dovetail plates.
