In medicine they call this "off-label usage". I have an old Topcor lens with a badly deteriorated rubber focus ring. Best focus/zoom gear ring.
Bought this and the 62.5 to 64.5 gear ring. These are very inexpensive, so I bought both with the idea that one would probably fit to replace the current rubber ring. And, the larger would fit over the current ring. I've used the 62.5 to 64.5 to replace the zoom ring on a Lumix 12-35 f2.8 on a Weebill Lab gimbal with follow focus/zoom motor. It fits and works perfect. The adjustable ring that came with the gimbal just kept falling off.
