It's time to enhance your RED Komodo's power capabilities with our Advanced Power Distribution Module with V-Mount Type I Battery Plate. This innovative module seamlessly converts the dual Canon BP battery slots of your RED Komodo into a versatile V-Mount Battery Plate, available in either a horizontal or vertical configuration.

When you opt for V-Mount batteries, this module ensures complete communication with your camera body. This allows you to monitor your remaining battery life as a percentage directly on the RED Komodo's user-friendly interface. The module displays a full 100% battery life for any voltage above 16V and will reach 0% at 12V, aligning perfectly with the majority of batteries.

For batteries capable of dipping below 12V, the module will cease powering the camera while there's still some life left in the battery. However, as most batteries rarely drop much lower than 12V, the difference in duration should be minimal. Early battery swapping can also contribute to overall battery health, which is why many manufacturers opt for a 12V cutoff.

This module is equipped with an integrated Komodo EXT Cable that connects to the camera body, providing full communication for expanded functions like Run Stop and Timecode via additional ports. One such port, a 3 Pin Fischer R/S port, allows you to trigger Run Stop and power a Nucleus M with a single cable via the optional 3 Pin Fischer Run Stop Cable.

The module also boasts a range of other ports, including a 14.8V P-Tap Port, a 14.8V 2-Pin LEMO Port, a Timecode Port, a Red CTRL Port, a Genlock Port, and a 5V USB Port.

Please note that the V Mount Type I Plate may limit your access to the camera's SDI port. We suggest using a Right Angle SDI Adapter when utilizing this Plate. With this Advanced Power Distribution Module, you can maximize the power and functionality of your RED Komodo camera.
