With a stunning resolution of 800 x 480, the VL5 is complemented by a high end feature set including peaking, under scan, switchable aspect ratio & aspect ratio guides, blue gun, RGB adjustability and 480i/p, 576i/p, 720p, 1080i/p signal input. Included with the VL5 is a 12v D/C adapter, your choice of Sony, Panasonic or Canon DV battery adapter plate and a sun visor for clarity in the field.

Peaking
The VL5 is equipped with Monochrome Peaking features which highlight the desired focus area in a bright, red outline. The operator adjusts the focus control until the red indicator outlines on the desired area are razor sharp, indicating optimal focus. For the best results, be sure the subject is properly exposed.

Blue Gun
Blue Gun allows you to quickly calibrate your monitor to ensure the image you're seeing on the monitor is exactly the same color that your camera is shooting. It does this by isolating the blue color signal and when displaying a set of standard NTSC color bars, a set pattern will emerge allowing for precise calibration.

The VL5 Has You Covered
The days of purchasing a separate battery plate for your monitor are over. In addition to the included AC adapter, the VL5 comes complete with its own battery adapter plate! Whether you are shooting with a Canon, Panasonic or Sony DV camera, iKan has you covered. Simply specify which battery plate you would like (Your choice of either the Sony L, Sony BP-U, Canon 900, Canon LP-E6+ or Panasonic D54 series batteries) and you will receive a complete, self-powered HDSLR field monitor with the quality and reliability you have come to expect from iKan.
