Fantastic follow focus for the price. Terrible service from Adorama. I ordered this follow focus a month ago and received a completely different item, which happens, no big deal. I submitted a request to exchange online. This ordeal took over a week, and in the meantime I had purchased this system from B&H, received it, and used it on multiple jobs (I thought exchanging would be quicker, so I requested a refund instead). They finally sent a UPS tracking code to return the item. UPS shows that the package was delivered back to Adorama almost two weeks ago, and I have heard nothing about the refund. I?ve always had pleasant experiences with Adorama, but this event has shown me that it is just not worth it trying to deal with their almost non-existent customer service. As for the focus, it?s good for the price. I would also get the DTap cable to take advantage of the 14v motor. The only downside is that (to my knowledge) the hand wheel must be powered by the included battery. It would be nice if everything on the rig could be powered through VMount. There is also a VERY slight delay when focusing, to be expected from a wireless device. It almost seems purposeful, as if the motor ?ramps? to smoothen focus. Overall, I highly recommend the system, and highly recommend B&H.

You need to really, really push it in all the way. Double check to make sure no metal is showing and it's fully seated.

The gear makes a chattering noise, it doesn't turn smoothly like more expensive wireless focuses. Also, the LCD display on the hand unit is very difficult to read and the process to change settings is not intuitive.

Amazing!!! This fits my workflow best. You might have heard about the low torque motor, but don't worry. If you use it with a V-mount D-tap power, you'll have 4 times the maximum power (1Nm) of other motors (Zhiyun Transmount, or Moza iFocus, which only max out at 0.25 Nm). I also plug it in my Zcam DC Output 12V, and USB-C 8V of my gimbal, it has no issue driving my Rokinon CineDS lenses, which is pretty stiff in my opinion.

This is the best thing that Tilta has made, period. The construction is unbelievably solid, and the control wheel works better than you'd guess. It's buttery smooth and totally responsive to even the slightest turn. The control wheel has the ability to put in A and B stops, so that you won't overshoot your mark. Calibration is super smooth and the battery lasts forever. The unit comes in a carrying case along with most of the things you'd need for a barebones mount--- however, if you're trying to put this on a BMPCC6K or 4K cage, be aware that you'll need quire a few additional pieces to mount it satisfyingly. I ended up not using the mount they provided and instead bought a 15mm rod mount for the cage--- this solution was FAR more stable, and the motor turns even stiffer Rokinon primes without any give. Highly recommended, but be prepared to spend an extra $100 or so on attachments.

The flexibility of this focus is great. Relatively easy to get set up, and such a huge help for rigs that change regularly. The only drawback is how thin the marker strip is, but that is truly a minor obstacle to overcome. It didn't inhibit us at all on our first several shoots with it.

A really great wireless focus system for the price. Packaging is also very nice, secure, and portable so it's easy to travel with. Takes some videos and/or research to fully know how it works but once you do it's pretty simple and easy. Glad it also comes with extra focus gears for non-cine lenses with gears.

This little wireless follow focus is a beast! If you are using this with the ronin it is basically plug and play right out of the box. Handheld setup however is a bit more difficult. You DO need an external battery, but I found that I could easily use my NP-F batteries from my monitor to also power the motor. One other complication that arose however, is a small small dead spot in the connectivity between the wheel and motor. If the motor is positioned in the same way as the picture above then it won’t “see” the wheel. However if you just place the motor on a different rail or flip it to the bottom of the lens (hanging upside down if you will) then the setup works marvelously! Would definitely recommend.

Really just the perfect solution for pulling focus on the bmpcc 6k, my only suggestion is you might need to get a larger 15mm rod depending on the lens you use, i.e if you're using a sigma 18-35 you'll need a long one. This also works perfect with the nucleus m controllers, I use the hand grip one on my rig and it helps eliminate bumps from pulling focus. Love this product!

For this price, I thought it was a great deal! But I found it rather unusable... The motor speed is really slow, and the latency sucks. I found that I would consistently overshoot my focus because I was waiting for the motor to catch up. But for the price, and for people intending on shooting at something other than T2.0, It's not the worst, however, I would recommend the Nucleus M or a mechanical one with much more confidence.,

This is a powerful wireless follow focus that is very easy to use, but know you are getting a lot for not a lot of money. One thing is like a lens, you can get some decent ones for not too much, but they may be photography lenses, not cinema lenses. Similarly this follow focus works on those lenses, but the motor is not strong enough for large cinema lenses. On a positive note you can use the Nano remote with the Nucleus M motor. Overall a wonderful product.

Fantastic when it works properly. I really wanna love this product and give it 5 stars, because when it works how it is supposed to it’s fantastic. But I have had issues with setting up manual calibration on my photo lenses which has caused headaches on set.

This device is perfect the only downside is that if you have a stiff or larger lense and you want less delay you need to buy a ptap cable for it so you can pump more voltage into the unit other then that it's perfect and has awesome reaction time

Totally useless for any professional cinema use. Sadly it doesn't have enough torque to spin even the loosest of cinema lenses. The delay is astronomical and trying to interface it with any professional camera is useless. Save your money and rent something which works until you can actually buy a real follow focus.

incredibly strong motor fort size! This thing is a serious value. It sometimes suffers from interference from other devices-I don’t know if it’s Bluetooth or Wi-Fi band or what, but sometimes you have to be pretty close to the camera but for 230 bucks you’d be crazy to complain you can try it once and throw it away if you don’t like it! Note that the power connection is USB-C ( I think) bit The device runs better at 12 to 14 V then at 5 V. So you need to use a power cable that does not have a voltage reducer in it if you are connecting to your P-trap. Of course if you connect your cell phone to that same power cable you’ll fry your cell phone!
