Review Summary

I picked up an AS73FM-TAF about a year and a half ago, after reading numerous reviews. The Ibanez pickups are well-balanced, sound great, and some owners have changed pickups with the caveat that it isn't necessary. I consider this a great instrument as is, since the Ibanez hardware is of great quality. I asked and plan to use Elixir or NYXL 10-46 strings (and I have a set of Reverend Willie's 9s) stored in the Ibanez AS100C case (made by TKL Cases, also good quality). MusicNomad's Case Humitar and HumiReader also reside in the case to maintain the instrument at the ideal temperature and humidity.

If you're a musician seeking a stylish and high-quality instrument, the Artcore AS73 Electric Guitar, with its bound Rosewood fretboard and distinctive Olive Metallic finish, is a perfect choice. Introduced by Ibanez in 2002, the Artcore series has been the preferred hollow-body guitar for musicians across diverse genres such as blues, country, rock, and jazz for nearly two decades.
The Artcore AS73 is renowned for its superior craftsmanship and affordability, earning a dedicated following for its pure, old-school jazz-box sound and hybrid semi-hollow rocker versatility. This innovative guitar is highly praised for its rich, nuanced tone, impressive sustain, and exceptional tuning stability, continually pushing the boundaries of guitar construction.
Equipped with Classic Elite pickups, the Artcore AS73 delivers a rich, nuanced tone with a robust low-end, perfect for musicians seeking a versatile sound palette. The ART-1 bridge enhances the guitar's sustain and tuning stability, ensuring your performance stays pitch-perfect throughout.
For those who value quick and easy string changes, the Quik Change III tailpiece is a game-changer. Meanwhile, the Sure Grip III control knobs are designed with nonslip functionality, providing precise control over your sound. Coupled with its smooth and classic looks, the Artcore AS73 Electric Guitar is not just an instrument, but a testament to Ibanez's commitment to innovation and quality.
