The Artwood series was crafted to produce a traditional as well as a modern guitar. Technology moves forward at a frantic pace and the world of guitar craftsmanship is no different. In producing the Artwood series, they have respected the rich tradition of the acoustic guitar while adding modern interpretations in their continuing search for the ultimate in guitar tone.  &#149; All mahogany body (solid top)  &#149; Fishman Sonicore pickup and Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamp with Onboard Tuner  &#149; Balanced XLR and 1/4" outputs   Ibanez Advantage Bridge Pins  These pins really are an advantage over old-fashioned pins. Advantage pins are easier to take out and easier to put in than standard pins. A special bulb-shaped end makes the pin easy to grip and also prevents the pin from being pushed in too far. Best of all, with Advantage, the pin and string stay put.

I expect some level of setup needed with any guitar, but this one was on a whole other level of poor. The frets were so grossly unleveled that fret buzz happened at almost all strings and all frets, and there were some frets so far off that that note would play for 5 or 6 frets below the note. I've never seen anything that far off. Really a disappointment. I can do some level of setup on my own, but fret leveling is for a professional and I was hoping for a little bit better guitar out of the box. I've bought many over time and this was a disappointment to start. 
After professional setup and frets were leveled (time and cost) it ended up a pretty nice guitar, but wasn't as good of a deal at the end of the day.
