The guitar's neck is made from Oval C Roasted Maple, a heat-treated wood that enhances stability, durability, and resistance to temperature changes and moisture. The Rosewood fretboard adds a solid, well-balanced tone with a focused mid-range, perfect for both chords and single notes.
The AZ42P1 features Jumbo Stainless Steel frets, known for their excellent corrosion resistance and quick response. These wide and tall frets offer effortless articulation when playing chords and a clear tone when playing single notes.
The American Basswood body of the guitar delivers a natural and flat tone, while the Seymour Duncan Hyperion H-H pickups ensure a moderate output through Alnico-5 magnets. This maintains the clarity of the fundamental tone when using distortion and delivers a clear pick attack.
The guitar is equipped with Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads for incredible tuning stability and reduced string-changing time. The Gotoh T1502 tremolo bridge, with its steel saddles and die-cast zinc tremolo block, offers a quick response and improved articulation.
The AZ42P1 also features the dyna-MIX10 switching system with an Alter Switch, offering ten sound variations and easy switching between humbucker and single coil modes. The power Tap mode provides a realistic single coil sound, despite its two humbucker pickup layout.
