I hate the floating bridge. If you don't know what you're doing it's a pain to set up properly. Take it to get professionally done. Other than that, it's ok for the money.

Good but the bridge stinks

The instrument is solid and sounds bright.  It is a quality instrument and I would recommend it to anyone.

Ibanez Mandolin

When I first received the mandolin I was a little disappointed. It sounded a little flat and played a little stiff. Once I removed the styrofoam strip under the bridge, lowered the string height and set the bridge in the proper location (all very simple steps. Google will show you how) this instrument came to life. It is not ready to play out of the box but it was simple to set up and didn't require any tools to do so. Really happy with the mandolin and Adorama who shipped it fast and provided great customer service. .
